I bet Time Warner could eat most of the cost if they didn't waste so much money advertising this pissing contest.
I'm very close to a Time Warner area, but I have Charter here in the mountains. But TW seems to taunt around this Robin Hood mentality a bit too much.
If Fox News leaves then I'd be all for it. You guys should be watching HIMYM on Mondays any damn way.
Fuck TW. AT&T Uverse is were it's at.
^
The price of Cable television has gone through the roof in recent years, and what have we gotten out of? Jack shit, and overcharged for mediocore service. Once UVerse became available in my area, i was all over that shit. But passing that cost onto the customer seems like a dick move when they're already making tons of money off their crap ass service.
NFL: Week 16 up in hur?!
I Love TWC for the only fact it's the most reliable provider in my area, other than Fios, which I'm all of 500 feet in the wrong direction for. I'd be glad to see them drop fox though, so I don't have to hear it on any of my channels.
TWC drops fox, loses money and respect, Fox loses viewers... I see this as a win-win.
Wow, something w/TWC and another network seems to occur every year lol
My cable company is not going to resolve their pricing dispute with our Fox provider by the end of the year. Our cable price went up $10 for basic cable last year hiking our service up to $70 for a basic cable package. I am from Eastern Iowa, most of the east side of this state will not get the Orange Bowl broadcast on TV. Maybe now I will switch over to dish since this is the second time in 3 years our cable company has had to discontinue Fox service for an extended amount of time.
I was really close to going with uverse earlier this year. The only thing that stopped me was their # of simultaneous streams (4, 2hd 2reg). Just a little bit more and it would be awesome, but 4 kinda sucks in a family household with multiple HD TVs.
Still, I really hate TWC and we are paying waaay too much right now for very little service comparatively. I've been looking into Dish Network recently and am decently happy with their selection/price. It's not as good as uverse's deal, but it would still allow a couple much more awesome DVRs, a lot more channels than twc, and even let me get a Korean game channel (OGN) noone else offers, all for a lot less than TWC.
Anyone have dish network and can give some recommendations? This crap with fox is just the latest in a long line of examples of why twc has become tremendously more shitty recently and regardless of whether or not they resolve their dispute, I'm about ready to switch.
