Is she one of those people that use a universal password for everything? Heard about the same thing but only with myspace, but said person used the same password for EVERYTHING.

Nah, and everything is all fixed now with her account, working on cleaning out/reinstalling her PC. Like I said, I don't use FB, I don't know shit about how it works, I just know that 2 people who were both using it and not really doing shit else with their PC(aside from one of them also playing FFXI) had the same shit happen to their PCs within a short amount of time, so I put it out there.

I don't really give a shit about the FaceSpace sites either way, I just laugh at the concept of 'friends' on there, anyone who I consider a real friend I give enough of a shit about to call them or see them in person when possible.

I do agree though that people do care waaaay too much about numbers on social networking sites. They think because they have 2000 friends on Facebook or MySpace, they're hot shit... when in reality they spend their weekends alone on these websites. D:

This actually has me a bit concerned.

My husband and I had our accounts disconnected and our passwords somehow changed/corrupted 2 days ago. We do not use the same password for Facebook, but Facebook was open in Firefox (minimized IIRC) when it happened. Initially when I tried to reconnect I saw an LM-11 warning, but I tried to reconnect maybe 30 minutes after seeing that warning and was told POL password was wrong. Both our accounts are linked to the same SE ID, and use a security token.

Nothing was taken from our accounts, but I did have to wait 12 hours or so for SE support to open so I could have the passwords reset.

We do use NoScript, Flashblock, and Adblock in Firefox on both computers. One is a Vista desktop and one is an XP laptop, and both d/ced at exactly the same time.

So I just got home, g/f is crying saying she went to log into Facebook, a thinger popped up that crashed her Firefox(yes she has NoScript enabled), her Windower went down or something as well...when she went to log back in to Windower she got an error, it crashed again, and her passwords appear to have been changed, I just spoke to a GM and am about to contact the Support Center.

Just a head's up, as well as checking if anyone has seen this...I don't use Facebook(because it's for morons, but that's another story), and my stuff is all fine.

Check in 'Event Viewer -> Application Logs' and see if:
C:\%windir%\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
Was the "faulting module."

There are so many retarded quiz apps and whatnot rampant on Facebook, I don't know how internet-savvy your gf is but there's been many times I've wanted to slap my little sister for polluting her PC with some of that crap. I mean seriously, do you really need an app to tell you if you'll be lucky today or how many people with your name are on Facebook (hello, it's called Google) or which Twilight character are you? I use Facebook apps too but generally only the ones that come from the more reliable sources like Farmville and few other games because you know with them that since they are a source of income to the 3rd party companies behind them they are hell of a lot more aware of security issues etc. Little bit of bad press could so easily destroy them.
