So the screenshots that got leaked on the EU site most likely went in hand with this.
The one CG CS looking one with the Mamool Ja looking guys summoning the big fiery beast fits perfectly with the description of the tribes and their gods. So I was thinking right when I mentioned that in reply to that picture in another thread.
Here's to hoping for some more good updates with screenshots or pictures of some type. (Hopefully more than the ones that got leaked.)
Assuming that the big Red Fire guy in the previous screenshots was one of these "summons"
Perhapse the giant Serpent/Dragon looking creature in the original preview video is also another "summons" from a different Tribe.
Many people have stated that the Screenshot of the Fire Beast looks more like a CG cutscene, much like the Serpent from the trailer video.
So we could possibly already know what 2 of the gods/summons look like. and with corresponding elements: Water (Serpent), Fire (Beast)
Yes I know that but they added something they don't normally add from an old game which is what I'm kinda getting at.(possibly. it still could be a coincidence)They're still making cash off of FF7 yet they have never added "Aeris/Tifa/Yuffie/Cloud/Sephiroth city" into any FF after 7.
What I'm getting at is that they might be adding XI specific nostalgia content in addition to the usual general FF nostalgia content. If they said something like the land of Bahamut I'd have not said anything.
It's still too early to tell if it's a coincidence. If it had been named Tvanazia we wouldn't be calling it silly of me to notice a similarity in a name.
I'm guessing they'll keep most of the story in past. As it supposedly in changes nothing in the future it seems like a cheap way for them to have npc's that don't change due to story as well as some form of instanced story fights.
Hmm, makes me think a little bit of the Exalted RPG setting.
It also makes me wonder if that at some point, we don't see a "mechanic" class, much like new FFXI jobs were introduced as they linked to far-away parts of the world.
And I see we'll already have the FFXIV equivalent to a Tavanzia.
