    Question about Router signal strength.

So I'm getting tired of everyone in my house saying they don't have a connection to the internet and asking me to restart the router every 10 minutes to refresh it. I currently have a Linksys N router WRT150? I think. Basically I want to know if there's anything I can do to increase signal strength to the other machines. I have my PC and my PS3 Wired, my Brother's PS3 and PC are wireless and my mother's laptop is wireless. If I need to upgrade my router, what's something that'll work without being incredible complicated to setup. Thanks.

If you want to improve, go long or go home

how big is your house? no router will reach every spot if its too big. I noticed alot of n routers always gave my laptop problems, I still use a netgear b/g rangemax and it goes all over my 2 floor house.

Wireless-N networks require proper configuration to achieve -n speeds and distances. For instance, my DIR-655 from dlink can run in b/g/n, g/n, or just n mode. The only way to get -n speeds and distances is to run in only n mode. The more compatibility you offer, the more the router neuters itself. Not to mention, if your PS3 is very near the router, that by itself will interfere with your network. The PS3 pumps out a very strong signal in both the wireless network and bluetooth frequency ranges, which -n can overlap with, depending on settings.

Not sure if this is the best solution or one you'd want, but this is what I do in my house to solve the problem with reception for everyone

You can also install a high gain antenna on to most D-Link routers. Gets more range and strength.

I think this is what I did for my xbox with an old Linksys WRT54G, I used the DDWRT software to turn it into a wifi receiver, and i have my xbox wired to it...

Just cant figure out how to get my NAT setting from Moderate to Open

I did the same setup actually and just needed to forward a few ports (88 and 3074, udp+tcp to IP 360 uses) on the main router, not the bridge/receiver router, in order to get "Open."
