Ah right on, I always make it a priority to try a different beer wherever I go, wether it's a liquor store, restaurant, bar ( dives are hard I usually do whiskey at dives ), or w/e. I actually got this cool Paulaner stein at Oktoberfest downtown this year, got fucked up and arial jousted my diesel friend and got fucked up lots, will look for vid

ahaha nice, I love more of the hoppy, bittery taste. But my friends fuck with me for drinking beer before a meal cause I always pass on food if I've had two or three before we order. Shit fills me up something fierce. Looks good tho, what's the taste?

Being German I'd assume a nice hoppy full bitter wash with a good stout downage. But you did post a pic of Paulaner Hefeweizen which tends to be a bit more wheaty with fruity notes which unless it's a BBQ in springtime I'm not a big fan of

Paulaner has that definite fruity after taste, not so obvious going down uness you're looking for it but ya, definitely there

this other, the Meckatzer Lowenbrau, hmm hard to describe -- for me it's the archetype wheat beer that I compare everything to because it was pretty much the first wheat beer I had

I don't know how to describe it in terms of hops etc just that it seems to be everything a wheat beer should be; it has that full taste but the aftertaste is actually pleasant. When i was younger I drank some drinks for the experience but they didn't actually taste good, this beer I really enjoy for the taste. Idk if that helps

and it should give an idea of that more middle of the road standard fare wheat beer, without being too fruity like Paulaner (I actually really enjoy Paulaner but anyway) but it just doesn't have that same... satisfaction that Meckatzer has for me

Erdinger is actually pretty good, disocvered this in Toronto, never had it in Germany; I had this a few times a while back, haven't had time for bars lately

oh wow, Paulaner Oktoberfest was actually a bit bitter with a nice smooth finish, I liked it alot. I've had Lowenbrau before too, my pops was a big fan of that stuff so he would sneak me bottles every now and then when I turned 14.

Czech beer has never been bad from what I've tried or microbrews labelled "Czech," but I'll look that stuff up for sure. I just hate going on beer quests cause it puts some work on the tummy hardcore

believe me, I would never mistake Hoegaarden, I've even brought myself to drink American beers when there was nothing better on tap (how is this possible? Christ, but it's happened a couple times -- and honestly guys 2.5% alcohol in a beer? why am I even drinking this)

also grouping beers by country is a bit silly. I like almost zero Pilsners, you probably drank a more bitter type beer
