I took the one sliver of advice, and offered my opinion in return. It's not a rule to agree with the popular opinion, as least as far as I know. I like a good discussion, I can't help it everyone is so narrow minded lately they all follow the math blindly assuming it's the end-all be-all.

I have took quite a lot of advice from these threads, but some of the advice I choose not to take. I even put a disclaimer to disregard my ring in my post, I wanted to know about everything else. If you want to point fingers point them at the people who brought the shit up.

When the server calculates your damage it uses the math. I'm pretty sure that is, in fact, end-all be-all.

Know how else you can moderate your hate? Not engage at all. Why not recommend that?

Any job can stay alive against any mob in the game with proper gear/support save AV meteor, the limitting factor in tanking is hate. If you have the hate, then what the fuck is the problem exactly? Someone will be taking the hits, as a competent player I'd rather it be me than most others.. but I guess that doesn't apply to you.

Because it's perfectly fine to tone down your DOT so you can balance your hate with the other DD's better, not gimp. Anytime I have to stop to cast Ichi because I can't shake hate and have to throw up PDT build to survive, much damage is lost.

Honestly, I know this has been said.... but why post your sets asking for advice then arguing with people that try and first of all give it? Your WAR seems very confused. If you want this all mighty dex build then get an RC, askar head, hachi hands etc. Otherwise, use blitz ring and dusk feet+1. It's not very difficult. The whole 'I'll die if I do more damage' argument is silly. If you want advice on how to improve your gear, then I suggest you listen to what has been said. It was all true!

And for the hundredth time I know that. Just because I prefer to attack harder but a tad slower doesn't make me gimp. I do less DOT sure, but I also don't pull hate after 2 swings, I get to tp safely then I pull hate on WS, by then the mob is typically dead.

Bouncing hate is great, but it's hard to do that when most of the other DD don't do your damage. Therefore I have chosen what works best for me. Maybe in a perfect world with Warriors and Sams that mirror my damage, an epic haste build would be great, in my environment, it just causes more harm than good.

Believe me, I'm not confused, I know exactly what I'm doing. As to why I post my gear, I guess it's to trigger outside the box discussion. It only ever leads to the same damn shit. So don't worry, I won't be posting my gear again.

That's probably best. Not to sound mean but seriously, what the fuck? If you're talking about in merit situations, there should be no risk of you dying regardless of how good the other DDs are.... especially at colibris? It just seems that you're a little bit beyond help and as such I think you should stop. You have some nice gear etc, but you're not using it in the way that would pump out max damage. Anyway, at least this was a semi-interesting read!

Are you really going to stand behind the comment that because I'm not wearing 2% more haste gear that I am crap? What I gain in place of the haste is 8Dex and 11Accuracy. I know that 2% haste is better, but it's not better to the point of calling someone gimp.

Aside from Blitz Ring, and Dusk Feet +1 (Which hardly any Warrior's use, even though they won't admit it), what is wrong with my equipment? 2 more haste isn't going to cause me to pump out a noticeable amount of damage, what I gain with the crit rate increase isn't non-existent. Every time I make a Dex build it does exceptionally well on multiple parses. Usually I end up doing better than I do when I wear the said haste instead.

I'm just so ignorant man, what can a guy so ignorant do about it? A lack of 2% haste is so extreme, I just can't realize that. Even though under a ton of situations, even with the best players, DDs sit without haste sometimes for minutes at a time due to MP or dead mages. Also I'm sure the extra 11 accuracy if going to hurt me a ton on those mobs that spam aoe blind like Demons in Dynamis.
