Kind of looks like you're saying what we've been telling you you're saying to me.

I'm really not trying to start a huge massive argument, but how do you expect someone who didn't notice a damn thing change on their server to not question what you're saying? Yeah the game's declining, but you effectively implied that the game was ruined by the salvage bans, while also attempting to undermine the credibility of others as being in "shit shells."

Yes, I quit a few months ago, though it had very little to do with the game itself. But I was active in endgame when the bans hit and I continued to be active for several months after, and really, there was no difference at all in endgame on Hades.

Things may or may not have changed since I quit, I can't say that definitively, but as far as an immediate downturn in the quality of endgame after 1/22, I definitely did not see that happen. Again, I'm not saying that things didn't change on other servers. But again, you're making it sound like the game was irrevocably changed when all those people were banned. For many of us, our daily experience was not affected at all.

TBH, that being accepted is a decent sign that endgame started to decline before salvage bans. Then again, it wasn't even that long ago that you gave us other gems like:

People seriously merit Convert recast? I have not put a single merit into it and I rarely have a problem managing my MP. I'd rather have more accuracy merits than a lower Convert time.

I don't recall QQ'ing at any point, I'm simply stating what I and many others believe to be correct. The only things people seem to be able to come up with in response is some variation of "cheaters can go die!", "u mad" or "you just think you're important". Nowhere in this topic or in any other topic have I ever implied that I myself am in any way, shape or form important to FFXI. I'm almost entirely inconsequential, as are you and as is everybody else. What was essentially the cream of the crop of the player base either got banned or quit as a result of the knock-on effects - as a whole, yes, they were important. And no, not all of them are gone, no one's stupid enough to think that, although I'm sure a lot of you are stupid enough to imply that that's what I believe, hence I'm pre-empting it now.

Skill? What constitutes skill in FFXI? It's pretty simple to follow given instructions, most 8-year-olds could do it. I suppose this limits skill to pioneering strategies or having organizational skills, let's see any example of you doing either of those.

Go ahead and sig me. I've said it a thousand times. Convert merits are a waste of merits. Maybe that's my personal playstyle, but since I knew how to manage MP I didn't see the need to shorten the recast on Convert.

It's all beside the point anyway, you have waffles saying that this game was ruined when all these people got banned and really nothing changed, game's still dying. Over inflated self-importance speaking in his case, and the case of those who said the game ended when all those people were banned. Again, it's "they can't survive without me, I did so much for this game!" And it's bullshit. I hold no such delusions. I quit, the linkshell and the server lives on without me. Apparently, all these people who were banned were more important than anyone else who was banned or quit the game because of how grossly crippled the game was without them.

Ethics aside, botters are the players who are on 10-15 hours a day and often leave their characters on overnight to accomplish additional goals. I don't know about your servers, but remora's /sea all is 1044.. take off the botters and that's going to drop to 800 or so. It's a pretty significant difference, considering how difficult it's getting to level anything outside AB.. /sea all 1-74 fits in one search without being truncated as is.

Maybe the server you guys are on is just dying? I dunno.

On Midgard, a few people got banned, but nobody that the server cared about or really would miss. On the other hand, shells have collapsed and reformed the same as they always did, for the same reasons.
On other servers, perhaps some shells fully collapsed...then reformed with a new name? Some people/shells transferred servers and joined/strengthened other shells. Players got new accounts, new players have even made accounts. People are vastly overrating these older shells/players, on top of all this.

How am I saying the game was ruined with the salvage bannings? I never said that, if anything I've been arguing vehemently against it this entire thread. Unless you are talking about the steady decline of the game, which we both admit is taking place.

But past that, this is probably the only game in the world someone could even say that. Leveling? Really? I have every job I could possibly want at 75, to cover virtually every situation. That's why I'm not leveling. Furthermore, events are added, and old gear isn't made obsolete, thus old events are still done, along with newer ones. This isn't in relation to salvage bans really, but the state of the game in general. There are less people leveling, and more people enjoying their 75 jobs, I don't see a problem with that.

Finally, making an argument about when someone gets into endgame instead of well, anything of merit, is really grasping at straws and/or just flaming. If a bunch of FFXI players quit, and go to WoW, and start excelling at WoW endgame, they aren't worthless because they weren't in endgame before.
