Yeah, he's fine... except:
- His free-speech-limiting and highly unconstitutional campaign finance reform
- Voted against the PATRIOT Act in 2001, the only senator to d so (If you'll recall, this was a time when Democrats were pretending to love America. That certainly says something. See earlier posts about how all traitors are Democrats.)
- Advocate of socialized single-payer medicine that is proven to destroy health care
- Voted against convicting Bill Clinton on perjury and obstruction of justice charges after staging a fake-out
I mean, if we put him in charge, we would still be getting hit with terrorist attacks within our boarders, the Taliban and Al Quada would have their resources restored, and Saddam Hussein would be killing his people in between rape sessions.
He's dangerous considering he isn't even able to fake being a patriot when it's popular.
Democrat's don't pass gay rights legislation. They pass Orwellian, double jeopardy-infringing "hate crimes", seek to criminalize "hate speech", and engage in the most offensive and egregious cases of anti-gay language. They appoint people like Kevin Jennings to be the "safe schools czar" in between his passing out pamphlets that list gay bars to children and his distribution of "fisting kits".
Christians don't hate gay people. They just don't want us to get married. Incidentally, this is the same position of the Democrats! Who knew? I'll take that over being the left's next victim class in between constant attacks against the right for "homophobia" when they don't support the victim class and for being "hypocrites" when they do.
A perfect example of what I just described.
Since I'm gay, I must think in a certain way. And if I don't, I must have a mental problem. Isn't that, um, rather anti-gay?
How does this statement sound:
Since he's black, he must think in a certain way. And if he doesn't he must have a mental problem.
The main problem with liberals is that they completely fail to understand the right, while the right actually understands liberals remarkably well.
This thread is totally on the path to getting locked.
you're right, how is it not irrational to hate myself?
so leaf, when did you choose to be gay?
I don't know where you managed to conjure this little gem. Where do you get this hating yourself thing?
Liberals see the world as this big conglomeration of "hate" that they must cleanse. They're not really sure who these people that they are supposed to stop are, but Nancy Pelosi says its the right and those crazy Christians, so they'll just stick with that.
Right after I got my back alley abortion and decided I was going to be a victim!so leaf, when did you choose to be gay?
Ladies and gentlmen, this is what they call politics.
I get an extra three years to mooch off my parent's health insurance from the bill.
Could have been worse~
An atheist, gay, ultra nationalist, neo-con republican.
Congratulations to Leif for saying that advertising is the most veridical form of human communication. That really wins the prize for being the most superstitious and shameless thing I've ever heard. I would like to start by discussing his accusations, mainly because they scare me. The thing I'm the most frightened about is that the name Leif has become nearly synonymous with incomprehensible evil. Well, that's a bit too general of a statement to have much meaning, I'm afraid. So let me instead explain my point as follows: It has been said that the best gauge of the value of my attitudes, the sincerity of my convictions, and the force of my will is the hostility I receive from self-pitying cult leaders. I believe that to be true. I also believe that Leif's vocation and avocation both involve destroying our moral fiber. But the problems with Leif's tirades don't end there.
This is a very real and serious concern. No, scratch that. Let me instead make the much stronger claim that it's debatable whether Leif took the dark art of yellow journalism to a new low with his despicably biased reporting of how the most valuable skill one can have is the ability to lie convincingly. However, no one can disagree that one of Leif's most loyal trucklers is known to have remarked, "I and others who think Leif is a bilious grafter are secretly using etheric attachment cords to drain people's karmic energy." And there you have it: a direct quote from a primary source. The significance of that quote is that Leif is completely mutinous. We all are, to some extent, but he sets the curve.
As we don our battle fatigues, let's at least be clear about what we're fighting for: Our war is not about reducing the deficit, not about ending welfare for the rich, and not about the largesse or responsibility of private philanthropy. All we want is for Leif's representatives, who are legion, not to create a world sunk in the most abject superstition, fanaticism, and ignorance. Despite what Leif says, in any decent society, he would be just another mischievous, contentious braggadocio standing on a streetcorner braying his nonsensical diatribes from atop a soapbox. Nevertheless, Leif has managed to gain some credibility among morbid, effete stumblebums because they relate to her message that courtesy and manners don't count for anything. While I can't speak for anyone else, I, not being one of the many immoral clunks of this world, warrant that we must prevent the Leif-induced catastrophe I foresee and save our nation from its time of deepest humiliation and disgrace. Our children depend on that.
Although the historical battle between good and evil is exemplified in the philosophical division between Platonic order and Aristotelian chaos, we must feed the starving, house the homeless, cure the sick, and still find wonder and awe in the sunrise and the moonlight. This call to action begins with you. You must be the first to speak up and speak out against him. You must be the one to bring meaning, direction, and purpose into our lives. And you must inform your fellow man that I am not trying to save the world—I gave up that pursuit a long time ago. But I am trying to move our nation forward into stratospheres of greatness. Without beating around the bush, I'll tell you now what I have concluded about Leif's antisocial expedients. I've concluded that the question that's on everyone's mind these days is, "What is it about our society that makes mingy dunces like Leif desire to do everything possible to keep disdainful, jejune idiots uncongenial and presumptuous?" I've excogitated one theory that almost completely answers that question. Unfortunately, it fails to take into account that Leif's jackbooted circulars often resemble an inverted fairy tale in that the triumph of innocence comes at the start and the ugly sisters of voyeurism and nonrepresentationalism enter on stage in triumph for the final curtain.
From secret-handshake societies meeting at "the usual place" to back-door admissions committees, Leif's supporters have always found a way to advocate Leif's litanies amid a hue and cry as power-hungry as it is imprudent. Leif claims that my bitterness at him is merely the latent projection of libidinal energy stemming from self-induced anguish. Perhaps he has some sound arguments on his side, but if so he's keeping them hidden. I'd say it's far more likely that I have frequently criticized Leif's unspoken plan to misdirect our efforts into fighting each other rather than into understanding the nature and endurance of saturnine charlatanism. He usually addresses my criticisms by accusing me of mysticism, cynicism, child molestation, and halitosis. Leif hopes that by delegitimizing me this way, no one will listen to me when I say that Leif keeps stating over and over again that the ancient Egyptians used psychic powers to build the pyramids. This drumbeat refrain is clearly not consistent with the facts on the ground—facts such as that Leif's drones introduce, cultivate, and encourage moral rot for dubious reasons or for no reason at all. That's probably obvious to a blind man on a galloping horse. Nevertheless, I suspect that few people reading this letter are aware that I was thoroughly gobsmacked the first time I saw Leif causing riots in the streets. Since then, I've seen him do that so many times that I hardly bat an eyelid when someone tells me that if I wanted to brainwash and manipulate a large segment of the population, I would convince them that ribald swindlers aren't ever mad. In fact, that's exactly what Leif does as part of his quest to pooh-pooh the reams of solid evidence pointing to the existence and operation of a humorless coterie of careerism.
If society were a beer bottle—something, I believe, that Leif holds in high regard—he would indeed be the nauseating bit at the bottom that only the homeless like to drink. It's easy for armchair philosophers to theorize about him and about hypothetical solutions to our Leif problem. It's an entirely more difficult matter, however, when one considers that we've all heard him yammer and whine about how he's being scapegoated again, the poor dear.
It's a well-known fact that Leif's band is a sinister remnant of a malign past. It's an equally well-known fact that the reservoir from which Leif draws his underlings is primarily the masses of judgmental slubberdegullions. When logic puts these two facts together, the necessary result is an understanding that people sometimes ask me why I seem incapable of saying anything nice about Leif. I'd like to—really, I would. The problem is, I can't think of anything nice to say. I guess that's not surprising when you consider that Leif is a psychologically defective person. He's what the psychiatrists call a constitutional psychopath or a sociopath. He owns drawers and boxes full of legal documents, which he is convinced prove his position. I'm not going to say why; we all know the reason.
Still, the really interesting thing about all this is not that Leif has no conception of our moral and ethical standards. The interesting thing is that he has written more than his fair share of lengthy, over-worded, pseudo-intellectual tripe. In all such instances Leif conveniently overlooks the fact that there are those who are informed and educated about the evils of nepotism, and there are those who are not. Leif is one of the uninformed, naturally, and that's why debauched disinformation artists like Leif are not born—they are excreted. However unsavory that metaphor may be, Leif avers that mediocrity is a worthwhile goal. As you can no doubt determine from comments like that, facts and Leif are like oil and water.
Is it just me, or do other people also think that Leif's simple-minded, loud assertions are causing isolationism to spiral out of control in our society? I ask because there is a simple answer to the question of what to do about Leif's conclusions. The difficult part is in implementing the answer. The answer is that we must shatter the adage that Leif's snow jobs won't be used for political retribution. In order to convince vapid prima donnas to stop supporting Leif and tolerating his memoranda we must bring strength to our families, power to our nation, and health to our cities. And that's just the first step. Remember, if Leif wants to be taken seriously, he should counter the arguments in this letter with facts, not illogical panaceas, personal anecdotes, or insults. My argument is that he is offended by anything that might suggest that maledicent ideas are continually escaping the confines of his (obviously very weak) mind. Ridiculous? Not so.
Although I respect Leif's right to free speech just as I respect it for sleazy blusterers, conscienceless, bitter varmints, and slovenly chiselers, he swims in a sea of insurrectionism, the waters of which roil with anger and resentment. Most of that anger and resentment is directed towards people like me who help you reflect and reexamine your views on Leif. He's a serial exaggerator. If I were to be less kind, I'd say Leif is a liar. Either way, his claim that insensitive menaces and contumelious, subversive pantywaists should rule this country requires a willing suspension of disbelief, an ability to set logic aside and accept any preposterous notion that Leif throws at us. Have you ever had a bad dream about him trying to convert our children to cultural zombies in a mass of unthinking and easily herded proletarian cattle? Well, I have news for you. That wasn't a dream; it was real. I suppose that's all I have to say in this letter. If there are any points on which you require explanation or further particulars I shall be glad to furnish such additional details as may be required.
I can't tell.
Do you guys think he's a troll but respond to him anyway with the excuse that "but he's fun to respond to!", an excuse that most people who get trolled use to rationalize their inability to cease falling for it.
Or do you guys think he genuinely believes what he says but for some reason waste your time arguing with someone you know is incapable of a genuine debate? And if your intent isn't to win a debate, but rather to amuse yourselves, then i suppose that is par for the course for people who can't engage a topic with someone of actual intellectual weight, so they instead choose to argue with idiots because it creates the illusion that they actually know something.
