Fair chance I might at least try making a Miqo'te though. I gotta agree with the whole "let's change the race names so you can't pronounce them" thing though. It's gonna be hard not to call them what they were in XI.

Hyur Highlander I played Taru in XI and while it was fun to run around and /panic motion I soon found myself wishing I had picked a larger character.

Highlander because I'll then be able to look down my nose at Midlanders. I just hope they all aren't super ripped like all the ones we've seen. If I could make a skinny/strong looking one with a medium sized afro that would be perfect.

For those who don't read any Japanese, that's "roo-ga-deen." I suspect because of the Roe/Roo discrepancy, emphasis will be on the ga or the deen, but this could just be another "bastuuk" fiasco (honestly, who didn't pronounce that Bas-tock even though it was said for us in the opening CS).

The japanese have it easy; they just simplify everything into katakana and pronounce it whichever way is easiest. Then they leave us to deal with all of the apostrophes and ambiguous syllables.

After watching this video, my resolve not to be a Hyur female has been immensely strengthened. Wtf is that run, seriously, with the arms pointing side to side like some pop backup dancer? Those froofy girly runs are the same reason I disliked Elvaan females in XI....

Ugh. I had just been assuming I was gonna be Hyur this whole time until now.

I was Hume F for most of my time in XI. Pre-release I was set on Elvaan F until I realized they looked fug in-game.

Elezen look better this time around, but still skeptical. And Miquote are cute but I'd be too annoyed with everyone calling me a dude.
