What race are you going to be, and why?

Probably a male Hyur because I'm tired of being mistaken for a woman. Plus, the ladyfriend is going to be a Miqo'te. If there's male Miqo'te, that's guaranteed.

Mithra. I was originally gonna be one but changed my mind at the last second(visions of 13 year olds trying to constantly perv on me made me change my mind). I doubt they'd let me go as a male mithra but if they did I'm so keeping my cornrows.

Lalafell. Simply because I've grown to like small cute looking things. After playing a Mithra for like 6 years I got tired of the look in general. Not to mention the fact after the first year I wished I'd been a Taru to begin with.

Here's hoping we get some kind of reselection option if we don't like what race we pick! I don't want to be stuck unhappy with my own character again.

Honestly, still not 100% sure... Probably Miqo'te. Cat people are pretty cool, but if they have the whole outfit butchering thing that Mithra had in FFXI from the tail then it's a no-go for me. It was one of my big irritations from playing Mithra for forever. Couldn't stand some outfit looks just because of how stupid it would look from the tail cut-out.

I went Mithra in 11 because:
I was playing a game, and I didn't want to be a boring human
I didn't want to be an Elf because they are in the fantasy themed things
I was not going to be a boy, so Galkas were out
That left me with Taru or Mithra, and I decided I like the Mithra more.

Most of my mules have been Tarus, although I did make one of each race (back when the aspir scroll quest could be done the second you got your mandy bud). For a while I even played a Taru on a different server in a Taru only static for fun. But when I think Pixiehawk it's always a Mithra/Miqo'te.

Picked mithra, but I might go hume f, they DO look the best at everything in FFXI. S'why I have 2 accounts instead of 1 now =/ wanted a hume f alt.

But in my heart mithra is still the best and that's why I'll probably end up as one in XIV as well. I'm highly interested in the difference between sun and moon mi'qote...
