I've been considering Lalafell in this game as I loved my Taru back when I played XI. However my one complaint about playing a Taru was that I could never appreciate the designs and stuff on armor/weapons that my character wore because of how small they were.
With XIV being in HD it may not be a problem anymore but if it still doesn't look good to me I'll just choose a Hyur. ^-^

my first FFXI character was an elvaan SMN then BLM and finally BRD then made a 2nd character on the same account my taru is now WAR BLU COR SAM going a hyur will probably be the best for me as i change my mind lots. They have also said that race wont play as much a part on attributes.

On FFXI I am a Elvaan but if I'm accepted into the BETA, I'll have to try out all the races for testing purposes.

I might stick with Roegadyn (Roe) because ever since they cut the tail, it felt a lot more comfortable with "Hulk" like feel instead of the "Over grown rodent" look.

Unless they add male Mithra's (man that would be awesome!), I'm going back to male Hume.

My original character was a hume guy but then I sacrificed that account so my brother could play on his character (we stupidly made 2 on same one in the early days of FFXI not knowing the pain it would cause later down the track) so my new main (and still main) FFXI character was created a Mithra.
