that's extreme?

i went back home to south dakota for xmas and was greeted by a blizzard that dropped ~24"- 36" of snow in 1.5 days and shut down every interstate/highway for 2 days in the entire state and surrounded regions.

not to say that's not some bad weather, but certaintly not worth submitting as "poor me it's cold" to anyone who lives outside of california.

no flights from any connector was able to fly in for 2 days so i ended up having to rent a car to do the 10 hour drive from st. paul making it home just in time before the blizzard hit.

Was mighty cold here in Manchester last night. Of course I was with my friends who're all smokers so I spent half the night stood outside with them...

Gutted it didn't snow again though, was well looking forward to being snowed in again.

As an aside, any UK peeps notice how the second the snow hits the south east all of a sudden it's a major problem and a potential catastrophe. All the while the beeb are saying "Oh there's a bit of snow in the northern regions of the UK"... Stupid southern bias. At least BBC Manchester loves us :>
