Uh because you're not omniscient dumbass. How the fuck did I miss this thread![]()
Definitely not omniscient, as a silly human I wouldn't be able to comprehend all the shit in the universe; it'd drive me nuts. Would I be able to control myself with all that power? Probably not, I'd eradicate the human race and start from scratch again. I'd then send my son to spread my teachings among this new race.
I've walked across the surface of the sun, seen events so tiny and so fast that they hardly can be said to have occurred at all. But you, Adrian...you are only a man. And the world's smartest man poses no greater threat to me than does its smartest termite.
Spoiler: show
Dr. Manhattan or hopeless douche who can no longer be happy due to his entire existence being mundane and completely devoid of novelty.
Spoiler: show
Plus, Dr. Manhattan is badass.

That's it, shut it all down, we're done here.
Omniscience btw, I can figure out how to become all powerful later, but apparently I can't make myself omniscient if I pick all powerful now?
Fuck that, the omnipotent option is a lie if you can't wish for more wishes, the omniscient option let's you get the contract invalidated and get them anyways.
Btw, Dr. Manhattan wasn't omnipotent, he was closer to omniscient, and figured out how to do all that shit because he knew exactly how to do it.
Dammit, beaten to the Dr. Manhattan reference. I'm still making it anyway.
I'd totally pick omnipotent and go finish Iraq and Afghanistan with my big blue dong of justice as I made Ride of the Valkyries play me in. That'd be badass.
No. He didn't figure out how to do those things, his experience in the machine gave him his abilities. Besides, if he were truly omniscient Veidt's machine wouldn't have been able to cloud his vision of events.
Frankly I don't know how people are thinking omniscience must lead to omnipotence. It may, if there's a way for humans to become omnipotent already, but more likely it would not.
