SE won't let me pay!

That's right! I'm actually trying to pay them and they won't let me!

Here's the deal: a few months ago, due to a security issue, my credit card got canceled. I got a new one and I tried to change the payment information at the start of December so I could activate my Talka.

Well, they didn't take my payment. My roommate assumed they had issues with their server. I though well, maybe if I click "reactivate ID" they'll send me somewhere I can pay.

They took the canceled card. 0_o

The canceled card went through and I cannot enter new information. Every time I update my payment information, I get past their new website's verification just fine. But at the VERY last window, I'm told either the server is busy or I've made a typo. I've tried three cards and it won't work.

Try without windower. I always had an issue updating payment info when windower was loaded.

Wait 30 minutes to an hour before re-entering info. After putting in a new card, a lock is placed on changing the info. If you attempt to change it, the timer gets reset. Just be patient and wait.

I didn't use windower just now and I still had the same issue. I will try again later, but I had trouble trying to pay once each week. I've not tried this more than once in succession so I doubt it's the 30-minute lockup.

Yeah, I've been trying to change my card for a month and it still won't accept it. It keeps giving me a UCS-60257 error message...which doesn't make sense...since it accepted it on my mule last month...I read up on all the stuff that needs to be tried and nothings worked. I dunno know what to do...

This exact same thing happened to me for a month, even the reissuing of the card due to "security issues" thing (idk if that actually has anything to do with the error, it's just coincidence on our part). My card was 3D-secure but POL rejected it every time. The thing is, even if you try to call/chat/email the support center, they'll ask you for the exact error code and tell you they can't manually change the information based off of the error code (they assume it's an invalid card.) They will feed you some BS about waiting 30mins or matching the address lines exactly how it appears with your cardholder (i.e. Bank = "street" & POL = "St" will result in an error) but that is likely not the case.

What I did to get it to work is: first of all, enter your 3D-secure card information and get through the 3D-secure step. Right after you get through the 3D-secure step, you are able to push the "back" button and change the card information without having to re-enter new 3D-secure information, and this new information can be from ANY card (3D-secure or not). After I did that, POL accepted my card that had previously been rejected on every attempt.

NOTE: when I did this, I actually changed the info to a different card than what had been used for 3D-secure, but i'm assuming you can just change the info back to the original 3D-secure card and have this method still work.

So despite what customer service reps will tell you, it is a problem with their system.

It happens sometimes to their server, I had that problem around this time of the year last year. So you'll just have to give it a few days (possibly weeks) for the hiccup to go away.

I always get Time out Error on the first Credit card Registration step...
Funny Thing if i write Fake Info it does'nt time out
Sometimes it will say This Credit Card is not 3-D secure
or sometimes it goes to next Credit card authentification Step.

Seems like they don't like my VISA card , so i ordered a Mastercard ...

i had the same problem.
I registered the card on xbox instead of pc it worked perfect. Try registering on xbox or ps2, im assuming ur using pc.

I had errors like this It ended up being some sort of error with the last 3 digits on the back of the card, i had to get a new card issued. Also, try doing your address in all caps, sometimes that might be the Issue. I called my bank and in their system all my information was in a Capitals.

I've had this happen before when changing cards and I've run into two different problems.

One is SE's billing system is shitty and when you first register a new card there is some miss-communication that happens between SE and the bank. If this is the case try it once, get denied... wait about 3 days and try again and the problem usually has fixed itself.

The other possibility is that the bank has a slight delay in the "check for money in account" process and if SE doesn't hear from the bank within 30 seconds it rejects the card. When this happens you have to use a different card because that delay will always exist.

Your address has to match near perfectly, I had an issue where my bank had my Apt number on the first address line and SE didn't.. took me a month to figure it out and get it fixed.

Worth a shot maybe it will fix your issue.

It's none of that. :/ Well, maybe there's a delay. On credit cards. I dunno how but with SE anything's possible.

My roommate didn't have to register her Amazon card with "secure by" whatever, and I didn't have to do so for my previous cards. Assuming this new card, for some reason, is not "Secured" by Visa, what do I need to do? The web address in PlayOnline only works on Internet Explorer, and I'll be damned if I have to enter private information on THAT browser.
