I was about to say its kind of acceptable for you to not know who Urban Meyer was, but then I happened to glance at your location: Gainesville/South Florida? What the shit dude, how could you reside in Gator country and not know who he was? lol, it is one thing to just not like football or the Gators...but to not even know...FFS, with that in mind i think maybe you are both of the above things.
I'm not really sure that even if Strong was completely available that he would be the choice for head coach. This isn't Louisville, its the University of Florida. You can't deny it is one of the most appealing jobs in the country. No head coaching experience at all, seems like there are better options out there.
You're exactly right, cinci is a good team that had a great coach. Now they're just a good team, facing Florida, a great team with a great coach. Cinci just doesn't have the player or coach personnel to make this competitive. I'm not sure they had it when Kelly was there. Sorry to pop your disillusioned bubble and bring you into reality.
So....all of his good players are basically in the draft this year...and he is leaving before they get wrecked next year by every SEC team?
What a little bitch lol, Kiffin will have a field day with this next season in the media.
I think he's supposed to still be at Florida, just in a non-coaching role.
Even more fire for Kiffin, I love it haha

We getting trolled worse than Finesse
"In your gut, will you be the head coach at the beginning of the fall?" "Yes, I do." Hells yea, hope he takes the time to get healthy...just stay off the recruiting trail and figure out how to reduce his stress levels.
First Billy Donavan, now Meyer. UF is something else.
I know im a UGA fan and don't really like Meyer or Timmy one bit...but I still respect Meyer for the coach he is and how passionate he can be.
I've lost that now. Something stinks really badly. If he was ill enough to resign to spend time with family...then this decision to "come back" doesnt mix. If the decision to resign was a knee jerk reaction to losing players...then why the drama and not just let the offseason happen quietly and take an extended vacation. Something isnt right.
And why announce it before the bowl if he was still planning on coaching the bowl? Creates unnecessary drama and a media storm around the players leading up the game.
Cincy's going to give him a fatal heart attack. Shouldn't have ignored the doctors brah.
I will be really, really happy if Cincy wins that game, stick it to Kelly and Tebow/Meyer.
Mardy Gras son.
