I've seen people post and say full Ares is best, or at least usually best for Catastrophe. I will not have full Ares any time soon so I was wondering if someone could tell me/show me what the best gear to put in each slot would be.

I'll make it a little bit more clear about what I'm confused on. People keep telling me different things and telling me what parses say, but I've never seen the parses...

Head: hecatomb? Gnadbhod's Helm? MKD Helm with INT AGI+4 and WS damage+2%?
Hands: Onyx? Hecatomb?
Feet: Hecatomb?
Waist: Warwolf? Swordbelt +1?

These are just some combination's that people keep throwing at me. I'm unsure as to whats best for those slots.

You aren't being stupid, 1 SV march isn't the same as 2.

You're not counting the non-SV'd March 1

Massimo is right...when you zerg, you're just wasting 2hrs if you have more than 1 bard 2hr basically.

NQ March1+Madrigal1

SVing March1 does nothing. SVing Madrigal1 does +13 acc.
SVing Madrigal2 is +30 acc, but realize you already have +51 over normal (before feint).
SVing Minuet3 gives 48 more attack.

Anyway, ya, if you want to do BV2, or Kirin, or any zergs back to back, you should SV Minuet4+March2 every time, ideally, and just let other bards do songs normally without SV.

So I want to get a Rose Strap, but I'm from Bastok.

I heard you can do this to get it more cheaply without losing rank.:

- Switch to San D'oria once I have 30k Notes.
- Buy the Rose Strap for the "normal" price.
- Switch back to Bastok.

Would this have any effect on my nation quests or anything involving WotG Missions? I hope not...

It won't cost you rank the first time you switch from Bastok to Sandy or wherever but you will lose two ranks if you switch back to Bastok.

I'd say STR because it double-dips, being both a WS mod and STR to attack, but I'm no mathologist.
