Max damage a DNC adds for one melee by just haste samba is 50% (70% to 80% haste). Keep in mind there's also at least the initial defense down step, regardless of how fast a mob dies this should at least add some damage... capping pDIF is not very natural in FFXI.

You could also spam acp fei yin for a "fake" hollow augmented earring.
Another option is to spam some fov earrings in augments(even some cheap coral) until you get acc+2.

Do the Elemental Obis add Macc or is it just increased damage?

Damage is confirmed, but the magic ACC has not been fully tested.

For those on PC, this should be easy to test using stun, goldfish, and a bot.

Test 1
- Stun ONLY when it's Earthday or Earth Weather (SCH/DRK)

Just tried to solo this on pup. that didn't go well at all. Didn't even have a chance, thing raped me nearly instantly.

Not enough room and too much aggro in the area to do a kite/chi on mnk. Hits too hard for drg, ect.

I have mnk sam drg pup dnc

It missed a lot on pup w/ full usu, boxer's, evasion torque, but it's delay was so low and had high triple attack rate, it didn't matter. Still took me down in less in a minute including 5 misses in a row on its part.

DNC/NIN would probably seem like the best option out of the others to me, but in general I don't think Qutrubs are very fun to mess with, much less NM ones.

Your best option is to level a mage job or make a mage friend. If you didn't see Mangle then you haven't really fought this NM yet.

Experimental Lamia with 6 people, how? Jobs can be anything, it looks like a right pain.

Can be duoed by 2 RDM/NIN's. pop out of party, take down ramp to zone where everyone fights, one person continuously pulls EL to zone and the other person pulls off 1 pet each time and solos it. After all are dead, EL glitches out when you stand at the zoneline and doesn't really do anything. Dot and Nuke her to death.

Is it possible to zone-nuke with the BLM Auto? Pup/whm|rdm(|blm|drk if you use sneak/invis items), keep dia or bio on with yourself, set up for large nuke with auto. He only has ~20k hp and takes 2x damage like other qutrub, only took 8 nukes (and fulltime bio2) from blm/nin when I killed. Biggest issue I see is getting eaten (or auto getting eaten) by mangle when trying to zone w/out utsu. At that point you just need a friend to TH it/help pulling it to a zoneline.

My Question: Is there any way for dnc to get away without pizza (yes, it's awesome, but I don't have the space to bring 20 out for 2-3 hours) or sushi while maintaining a decent hitrate and haste on birds? The best I can see is 81% on a lvl82 bird and that's lower than I'd really like.

8/8 Dagger, 5/5 Closed Position, 69 base dex (odd dex in full gear, so etoile is +2acc from dex, mirke is +3)

*I wish, but NQ's at least so only -2acc on the body

Other notes: Rajas/Suppa are not available, as much as I know they make sense, but most other things are.

Right now I'm considering changing mirke from 10acc -3dw to -3dw and ??? so I don't waste any acc with a cheapo sushi - crab would take me to ~8acc over capped on PK/AZ, and *just* under cap on Cinq/SK on 82 colibri using a no-acc mirke.

So simply, is there somewhere I can ditch about 10-15 acc for haste/dualwield/etc, or someway I can grab a bunch more to use kabobs?

If you account for Closed Position that bumps your acc is 89% so long as you keep it active. I think that's high enough to make meat acceptable on birds.
