I have always done around 10k damage zerging as WAR in 30 seconds. Personally, I go with Perdu in short zergs (Bahamut, KV, things with 25k ish hp that dont even make it for the 30 seconds and 2hr > WS > meditate > WS > Ic. Wing > WS kill it, sometimes not even making those three) because you are going to tp very few and thus going for higher damage rating seems the way to go. Fortitude is pretty nice for longer zergs where the melee advantange can mean a little more damage due to more swings and one or two extra weapon skills. This is usually true on a 45 seconds DL. Still Perdu is fine for those. I have never used Rune for it since with SV'd marches, haste and hasso I am already capping and havent got any meaningful switches I could do to make a rune chopper build work better.

As for ranking versus other DDs, K/O. Club obviously own this, but I come very close to M. Kris, often beating it for some reason (probably because of zergs not lasting the full 30 secs of 2hr, so Soul Eater doesnt pick the slack of the WS spam with Mighty Strikes). From there, usually outparse anything (I dont play with relics, just average DDs as myself).

    Edit:

Also, forgot to note that on stuff harder than those mentioned (Bahamut v2, DL, KV, Ethniu), it doesnt work as well, a DRK with even a Ridill is probably going to be better zerging JoL. Here is a shot of a DL parse so you see how warrior damage looks like, lasted 21 seconds from start (first swing) to finish, unless I noted it badly back then, but should be accurate. WAR/SAM, 300% TP to start (probably with KJ and not SC), Perdu Voulge, SVed songs and yellow curry or coeurl subs. KJ > wing > KJ > mediate > swing > KJ > swing a few times > KJ, done.

Provide a screenshot of stun resisting on a normal mob without earthsday/weather or shut the fuck up.
When you provide a screenshot of thunder IV being 1/8 resisted on a wild rabbit. Just because you've never seen it resisted that much is no proof that 1/8 resist on thunder IV doesn't exist... If Stun has 2 form of partial resists it can only resist fully 1/8000 of the time under capped accuracy which 99.99% of the player base will never see. What happens at pudding is different, you acc is not capped during weatehr most likely.

Okay, done humoring you. Your accuracy is capped outside of weather on puddings, but not during weather? nin/drk wearing terra's staff has 7999/8000 stick rate on ultima and other mobs that require significantly more ele skill to stick nukes on? So weather gives more than the difference between a nin/drk with terra's and a blm with jupiter's as well as pudding's magic resistance vs ultima's? That makes no fucking sense. You're grasping for straws and desperate to prove me wrong, but it's not going to happen.

The effect of INT/MND on magic accuracy

After a dispute over this with an LS member, I'm looking for any testing that shows that IND/MND either do or do not affect magic accuracy on enfeebling magic. I believe that they do, but I admit I haven't found much to support it.

Most of the tests that I know of have been done with elemental magic and INT, the fact that mind affects whm enfeebling is just a natural assumption but I don't think this has been tested. INT affecting elemental magic's accuracy is very well documented though.

Proving anything concrete about m.acc/m.eva is near impossible, due to it being invisible and reverse engineering from stick rates being extremely difficult. If you treat it as +10 m.acc, you'll probably be about right. Of course, there's not really any time where it's practical to use as mobs where RDM can melee are typically not resistant enough to care about m.acc.

Does stun give a different message if it is resisted versus it having already been stunned? I'm guessing it differs between overlapping versus a resist, but figured I would double check.

As far as arguing that stun can only fully resist during earth day/weather and the few sources we have only saw earth day/weather it does seem to be related. Maybe it isn't some wonky percentage/tier based proc just enough -macc to cause it, but given that FFXI (at one point) had a huge player base, someone else should have experienced a resisted stun on non-earth day/weather if it were possible.

Trying to claim that it's only a 1/8000 chance becomes significantly more likely given that any single player might be casting stun 60 times a day over various weather/day conditions and that account that there is at least a dozen people per server doing that per day. Then include daily events where you have CS stuns or /drk tanks, or large blm stun rotations and even within the relatively small population of FFXI players that read BG, someone should have seen a non-earth day/weather stun resist if it were possible, which indeed may be and has occurred.

Point being, numbers are against normal resist NOT being seen if it were possible in any day/weather.

I've tested it with not a great sample size when it was released, it seems to be -10 magic eva or equivalently +10 mag acc to everyone.

I nuked some qiqirns poulterer in the ruins with stone. The one I used are level 77, have 65 INT, and I know they have ~290 magic evasion which means you need 290 magic accuracy for 50% hit rate. I used then

268 skill 29 magic accuracy and 75 INT, so that's 307 magic accuracy total. You are expecting 67% hit rate on nomal conditions and I found :

    full damage : 226 ; half damage 49 ; 1/4 damage 25 ; 1/8 damage 4 ; total=304

so the hit rate is 74.3% with an error of +/- 4.8%. This mean that with 95% certainity the hit rate with Death Blossom is between 69.5% and 79.1%. So the bonus is somewhere between 3 and 12 magic accuracy since 1 mac = 1% hit rate past 50%. I assume it's 10.

If already stunned - "XXXX's stun has no effect."

As for the Pchan / Thorny debate, I have no idea. I posted about a year ago with an SS of me missing Shadowbind on a Fire-based Eo'Grah in the Grand Palace. Makes absolutely no sense, but there it was; maybe I have SS on photobucket.

It does give a different message, had a brain fart and was thinking they cannot be confused =.=

A penalty big enough to bring stun below stick cap would make all other magic entirely useless on opposing day. NIN/DRK's ability to stun hnm-level mobs while tanking in a terra's staff with ~115 dark skill makes it clear that stun has a massive inherent m.acc(or as I believe, cannot be full resisted without a weather proc forcing last tier).

Trying to claim that it's only a 1/8000 chance becomes significantly more likely given that any single player might be casting stun 60 times a day over various weather/day conditions and that account that there is at least a dozen people per server doing that per day. YMMV.
Feel kind of silly, as I had never even bothered to log in using the GUI. Will try this when I get home. Much appreciated.

I'm kind of new to Spellcast. So, I was wondering how do you write it that Spellcast puts on a piece of gear on a certain day and if it is day or night time?

I am almost 100% this has been tested to death and 1 INT/MND was found to be almost the same as 1 macc for the corresponding Black or White spell.

Easy way to try is sleeping mobs in Dynamis with no INT equipped versus doing it with.

Pretty sure it can't be repeated.

It can be sent via the delivery box. Find a friend who doesn't want to use it, if you're really outa lluck there, you can always do the quest on a mule.

Would any brd with a working spellcast mind sharing how they handle songs? I'm convinced that the when="precast" isn't equipping manteel/minstrels fast enough for it to affect my songs. They keep casting at 60-70% versus the normal 50%.
