Eh? People are too stuck in the mindset of "TPing in STR rings is 100% of the time wrong". Yea, at some point you have all the acc you need, but then when you can gain small amounts in certain areas, you can drop accuracy elsewhere. Or hell, you can use the Turban+1 with STR on it.

Past that though, the counter on the helm is very nice, esp if you're talking about a Hasso situation, and is probably more damage than any other possible helm could increase it by. This isn't counting any job that may want said counter for /nin ichi cast.

In my personal opinion a lot of those helms are equally "monumental wastes". I'm just interested to see someone quantifying why the turban+1 is a waste, unless you truly have no use for the accuracy (or crit), but I'd like to see gearsets/etc before I'd even believe that.

As mentioned earlier, it depends on what you have. For SCH, that's one of the best damage or curing pieces you can make. The "monumental waste" comment on my side of the argument (Not speaking for the other guy) is to say that such a minimal boost (Especially for us DRKs and DRGs who barely get any use out of counter) can have greater costs (SCH and I think WHM).

That said, you have to reconcile with the following when making the choice to obtain turban+1:
- The BC is difficult to find people for, so if in the future you need to make stat changes, chances are that it's going to be tough
- You need to be in an uncapped ACC situation for it to be of benefit
- The extra 2DEX, either solely or in combination, must satisfy ACC deficit in such a way that it beats alternative ACC resolutions
- The benefits of having Turban+1 must outweigh the benefits of stats given up (Whether it be for the same DD in the case of WS or a mage class)

Why ? For crit ? On average 2 dex is giving you no crit% .. wait almost : 2/11=0.18% crit. Obviously the 1.5 attack coming from 2 STR of the (haste5 + dex 2) one is better and when adding the 0.5 fstr is is w/o constest better.

I don't think you'll get any solid numbers backing one or the other, but personally I use AF2 for physical BPs, as there are any number of ways to improve avatar accuracy but there are only a few pieces that will do anything for avatar attack. Nashira/Marduk for magic BPs (Nether Blast, Wind Blade, etc).

I don't do SMN burns, but usually you chain using a quick-casting attention getter like Poison or Dia. You can chain them by casting on individual mobs as you run past. If you have a bunch, cast on the one furthest away from you. That should do it.

Otherwise, if nothing else is around, you can use a -ga spell. I suspect a -ga managed to get a mixed crowd of crabs and leeches.

If he -ga'd them, I would have seen those crabs at less than 100%.
