Alright, thanks. Even w/o augments, makes a killer offhand for dnc. With any kind of offensive stats added, easily the best, imo.
Wondering if anyone can direct me to a premade blackmage spellcast setup, its all im using spellcast for, and im having a ton of trouble getting it to work on my own.![]()
SV'ed marches are 40 according to wiki, haste 15, hasso 10... That adds up to 65, which leaves you only needing 15% from gear to cap, really easy. We do use CS Stuns on most of the stuff we zerg, if not, riding Hasso will probably not be an option and would need 25% haste in gear to cap which would then be impressive. Not counting DNC in party.
Was there a thread on YGK attack bonus theory or of that nature? If so, can you please post the link? Thanks.
Im planning to start blue and im wondering how do you gear for the big spells? Would you gear for it in the same sense in how you gear for WS?
Is Erlking's Axe an acceptable starter (for merits mainly) GAxe until I can get a Perdu Voulge (I'm 20k IS away)? I'm not in an LS right now, so I can't get Fort/Byakko's. I see myself dinging 75 with a Colossal Axe (mainly due to level sync, haven't gotten the opportunity to party at my level) :c
Thank you for that, i knew aikers was somewhere but i didn't know where to find it.
Not being wooshed, I am being retarded. Carry on ; ;
Trying to take the least damage as possible on MNK while shadows are down. With counterstance up should I be wearing all my +acc in order to try to get Counter to proc, or should I macro in my PDT set?
Basically, yeah. Always use BLU AF Body for Damage spells. For Multi-hit spells, you want as much ACC gear as you can until you get merits. 5/5 hits with ACC gear will be more damage than 4/5 (or less) with STR/DEX gear. You can get the best of both worlds with some gear, such as Denali feet, AFv2 Legs, and Enkidu's Mittens. For the waist slot you want Life/Virtuoso Belt (Maybe Potent, but why risk it?), and for Head, I think Optical Hat is the clear winner. As you finish off your merits, you can probably change to Warwolf and Voyager/Gnad's/Arwig. Some people will give up some ACC for Frenetic Rip since it's 3 hits rather than 5. I'm personally on the fence about that one.
For 1-hitters, I don't see much reason not to use full potency gear, especially since most single hit (damage) spells will be used with Sneak Attack.
Personally, I don't use anything but Sushi on BLU since ACC is so important and such a high percentage of my damage comes from my spells. Our Melee damage is decent, but not enough to waste food on IMO. Anything your ACC is capped on probably isn't worth wasting food on anyway.
I'm sure there are more hardcore BLUs here than I, and if they tell you otherwise, then you probably wanna go with them on the subject.
Is 60 a good enough level to stop putting up Yonin? My NIN is 59(died and deleveled into 58, but close enough), and I'm already at a point where my melee damage is getting very good due to DA + Berserk and all that good stuff, so eventually that accuracy debuff from Yonin is gonna start hurting me since I'm getting to the point where my melee damage is apparently gonna be my main means of holding hate in parties. I have +10 enmity from gear I switch in for Voke + Ninjutsu enfeebs, +5 since I'm still using High Breaths, will eventually go up when I can wear Arhat's, etc.
Also before Jin, best WS to use in birds? I've been using Blade: To since my limited uses in using random WS's in parties found it to be the most damaging, and cause it's ice elemental and all.
If I levelled NIN I'd stop using Yonin at 55, iirc colibri resist the shit out of ele wheel, and you need to keep hate somehow. Yonin fucks your melee damage in the ass.
