Can the final moogle fight be 3manned D: ?
Can the final moogle fight be 3manned D: ?
what acc is generally accepted to cap on salvage boss chariots? I'm pretty sure I've got way too much using pizza+1 (444ish sans hasso) so I can sac some acc for else, I just don't know how much.
Searched and searched, but I couldn't find much other than being about colibri evasion (408 to cap?) I just read this the other day too, but I'm pretty sure it was an old thread and I couldn't find it now.
Ok, leveling gear question. I'm slowly working on my paladin and just hit 65. I'm wondering if replacing some of my gear with darksteel pieces, ones with % damage reduction, would be wise?
Currently I have two setups I use while leveling a melee set and a +enmity set.
*melee*
sword: Bastard Sword +1
shield: Wivre Shield
ammo: Bibiki Seashell
head: Valkyrie's Mask
neck: Peacock Charm
ear1: Buckler Earring
ear2: Mercen. Earring
body: Haubergeon +1
hands: Gothic Gauntlets
ring1: Toreador's Ring
ring2: Toreador's Ring
back: High Brth. Mantle
waist: Swift Belt
legs: Ryl.Kgt. Breeches
feet: Gallant Leggings
*+enmity*
sword: Bastard Sword +1
shield: Wivre Shield
ammo: Bibiki Seashell
head: Gallant Coronet
neck: Peacock Charm
ear1: Buckler Earring
ear2: Mercen. Earring
body: Gallant Surcoat
hands: Gothic Gauntlets
ring1: Toreador's Ring
ring2: Mermaid Ring
back: High Brth. Mantle
waist:Gallant Breeches
feet: Gothic Sabatons
General comments always appreciated. Gearing up while leveling always gives me fits. :D
Mainly for DD I'd change seashell to smart bomb[unless you don't mind tiphia's -HP], hands gothic to fourth division, and Mercen Ear to Assault Ear. Also personally I'd use sentinel shield over wivre, and Peacock Charm to parade gorget depending on part set-up, cause remember if change PCC to gorget means you're getting march instead of ballad it's a very good trade off.
For enmity stuff Herc ring for ring 1, Iron ram stuff at 66 for enmity in all slots, Hosp. ear also depending on how much you use cures in general, and you didn't list belt for enmity set which should be astral belt for cheap +2 enmity until warwolf.
Lastly I'd consider going ahead and dropping high breath mantle, and DD in AM +1, and enmity in resentment cape if you can get your hands on it.
Edit: also I wouldn't bother with -pdt taken gear while exping unless it's something you find yourself running out of mp on.
It has been a while since I last played. I find myself bored with the jobs i'm currently playing, I want to do something different. I would like to try my hand at NIN/DRK.
Does anyone know of a good guide on proper equip change for spells and general info that could get me up to speed?
LSmate says that NIN should only TP in Rajas Ring when in possession of Usukane feet, is this remotely true, or (as I suspect) retarded?
It depends. If you're using the standard senju+perdu+suppa+af body/mirke, you need both rajas and usu feet to get 5.0tp/hit. Missing either rajas or usu feet will leave you at 98-99tp, meaning you need an extra atttack round, on average, before you can WS. So yes, I would agree nins shouldn't use rajas without usu, unless you're capped on acc and don't need another +acc ring.
lolBSTinxpPTs.
Right now I'm sitting @ lv63 and I'm having trouble on what jug pet to use against Colibri. HQ Tiger Jug is starting to be a bit lackluster to me imo, so I'm looking into Lifedrinker Lars(HQ Diremite) and Chopsuey Chucky(HQ Antlion). Anyone able to offer some knowledge on the pros and cons of those two jugs?
I have full Meditate because we are DD over Tanks.
What do you do with high recast Meditate on the 4F Gears of Bhaflau Remnants ?
I do too, 5 hit and the +5% Haste, Jump and High Jump sure are enjoyable lol !
It really is something fun to toy with
Yes, and if you do not, Monk + Samurai is very viable; my 7 members Salvage static does this, and I'm the lucky Samurai![]()
they are both excellent jugs, like Sabretooth. LL has an AOE move, but that is kinda irrelevant now with {Ready} now that i think about it... LL's TP moves almost all do good dmg, and he has one that does Slow (that one doesn't do dmg)
CSC i have not used as much, but he is freaking massive and wonderful to use to piss people off (cause he is always in the way). he does have a nice blind TP move which might be useful. his TP moves do not do as much dmg as LL. I havent gotten around to parsing either of them, really.
both jugs are kind of a pain in the ass to make, hence their high price, but they also come from choco digging, so you'll find singles sometimes for a decent price.
I think even if you're hitting 98-99tp, with uncapped acc...
it's 2.5%~ hit rate v 4-5% WS rate +, and small crit/possible fstr raise on weapon
personally i'd use rajas if my acc was anything above 80%~ then again i'm pretty terrible at FFXI math, someone better at it will likely correct me
When I do Limbus Lowman and I'm required to be the main tank, I use SJ NIN and my Love Halberd.
30 seconds is nowhere near "slightly lower".
Who are you trying to fool here ?
Our setup is the following, MNK SAM BRD RDM WHM COR + THF.
It doesn't make or break; it helps. We earn time.
Do you understand what time is to Salvage ?
In this situation it means more time on the Remparts.
Also, do you know what friendship is ?
You're not looking at the whole picture. It's 30 seconds off what is already an incredibly minor increase to your overall damage in any situation where you are meleeing fulltime. Furthermore Meditate's usefulness decreases as you add more TP-productive buffs to the melee in question (Haste, DA etc).
Just looking at how much the recast is reduced by is not a very useful way of comparing job abilities/traits/equipment stats/anything! Absolute values are not useful for comparison: you have to use relative values and consider overall impact stemming from these.
Could use FunguarFamiliar (or Shellbuster Orob) as a temporary fix, I think they both cap at 65. FF does decent damage and is inexpensive. SO isn't as effective but is cheap as hell to make if you or a friend have cooking leveled.
Chucky and Lars are both good as you level to 75, although Chucky is pretty big and tends to get in the way.
