Ice freezes wind? I always think of it stopping it dead and removing the energy out of it /shrug lol

Dont you guys know your basic pokemon? Flying types are weak to ice beam.
How are crits calculated for ranged attacks?
ranged pDIF * 1.25 iirc
Nobody knows for sure if ranged attacks use DEX or AGI to find d(critstathere). There just hasn't been much testing done on it.
Well, sure, you could have water erode earth or wind extinguish fire or something like that, but most of the existing roles are fairly well-established in everyday life.
Electricity is bad for things in the water.
Heat melts ice.
Grounding a object prevents unwanted shocks.
Put out a fire by throwing water on it.
Rocks are worn away by the wind.
Most of their choices are completely intuitive and (quite obviously) the most logical ascendant/descendant choice of the bunch. It's only the ice/wind relationship that's essentially a hack to close the circle.
In all honesty, do rankups. I use my newest mule for salvage, but I also made an assault static for it.. a good 70-80% of assaults will give more than 1500 points on first clear. This will gradually get you access to the good ones(defuse the threat and RVB.. speaking of which, APRadaring defuse the threat is 1600 AP in 10 min solo and a great alternative to RVB if you don't have BLMs or SAMs for whatever reason) and allow you to salvage ~5x a week.
Open apradar, activate show all, put in qiqirn mine. I like RDM since protect4 + composure phalanx + terras + cheviot will make qiqirn mobs hit for 0 and you can just run around hitting mines without worrying about them. The assault gives you a timer once you get within 25' to find the mine using hot/cold, but since they're in radar you'll always find them. If you go a job other than RDM, the qiqirn that run around hit for about 40 and have about 1000 hp, so you can just kill them anyway, but takes a bit longer. 15 mines total, once you do it a few times you'll get used to the zone and it's really easy.
This.

So the BB Solo thread got me thinking - How much would self destruct from the spawns typically do, and from BQ, is the Firaga III the only real worry (assuming blinking the rest)? Accuracy of BQ? NIN/DNC + DRK/RDM, stun the -ga and gravity the spawns until they blow up, or do they save self-destruct until they are in range? It's been years since I've fought her...
Bah, oh well. How much fire resist? I have a pld that I could reactivate, but stripped, etc.
