Assuming I have SAM sub+Raja+Brutal, should I still worry about hitting the minimum 3 of 4 hits of Guillotine? If so, should I TP with White Tathlum or just go with Fire Bomblet?

Speaking of scythes, a friend of mine asked me the other day what he should use, between enforcer, perdu, tredicim, death+1 and vendetta. He is currently using vendetta, and he does have the earring that goes with it, he does not have a raja's nor any inclination to change from tamas. I told him to stick with vendetta, but im wondering if it may not be better to use one of the other scythes + assault or hollow earring (he's currently using vendetta+supremacy+brutal)

Vendetta set looks like a decent 528 scythe, if he won't do Rajas, he can get his hands on a Rose Strap and keep a 6-hit with a 501.

I was looking over jump sets when it appeared to me that VIT may be more important than we give it credit for. Jump essentially is the following:

(Base DMG + fSTR + 50% VIT WSC)(1fTP)(pDIF)

My excel may or may not be messed up (I don't recall messing with the Jump portion as I did with the WS portion), but each time I place VIT as higher than STR, the damage turns out to be greater. I took the ATT gained from the STR into account when I did this. To test this, I simply placed STR=135 VIT=70 then calculated it. After that I changed STR=70 VIT=135 and calculated it. I used an imaginary ATT value (500), but took into account the ATT decrease when removing STR. Anyone else want to confirm or deny this?

Edit: Just calculated two real sets (One focusing on VIT and one focusing on ATT/STR), and it seems the ATT/STR set won. However, someone should still check this.

When does snapshot take effect? Is it possible to start an /ra in snapshot gear and finish the actual shot in DD gear? Similar to how you can macro in fastcast for spells.

Question: If you are in a BCNM area and everyone drops party after win and the chest has popped does the person who opens the chest have the treasure pool directly go to inventory without other members seeing what items dropped?

Only the party(alliance) containing the person who popped it will see the drops. So only the one person would see it.

For the POL Viewer you can just use the POL Config tool that comes with the game and untick the "Play Music" box.

For the login march tune, search for "FFXI Silent Marches" online and it should come up with it (sorry at work so don't have link to hand :S)
