New Power Brick

Where can I get one? I'd like to not buy it online as I don't really want to wait (obviously) and the only ones I've seen online don't do overnight shipping, plus I'd like to be able to return it if it's a piece of shit and just breaks on me anyway.

Also, I realize there are different models, I have a 2 prong brick with 203w (I believe, I'll double check before I actually buy anything) which may make things easier/more difficult, I'd imagine the latter. Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone has had to search for a brick and how/where they found one.

Again, I realize the *best* place to get it is Microsoft but I don't want to wait 2-23 weeks for them to ship me one.

edit: I don't believe gamestop sells them, or at least when I ask they don't seem to have any at the two locations nearest to me and target doesn't either. I'm going to try Wal-Mart, a couple local places and a third gamestop later today.

GameStop gets the occasionally. Ask the manager to see if any stores around have one or could ship it to their store. I believe they run $100

What happened to your old one? Still have it? Buy an arcade 360, take out and replace your power brick. Return to store.

Don't have one at all? I've seen one at FYE, Bookman's and usually places that do used DVD sales that also take video game sales-- but those might be broken as well.

Buy one on ebay?

ugh, 100$ seriously, it's a fucking power adapter. that's like overpaying for an HDMI cable they're all the fucking same D:

edit: i don't have enough to buy an arcade atm (bills and whatnot), but i really want to find a used one from gamestop so i can just throw my old powerbrick in there and return it

You might find an actual used power brick from MS at Gamestop, I think they're $30-40. Could just have them ship it in if they don't have it in the store. Just return it and say it didn't fit your model and your gold. Just do it in 7 days.

that's my hope, unfortunately I'm heading back to college thursday evening which is the main reason I don't want to order anything online (shipping times are iffy and I don't know where exactly I will be when the part arrives), plus I'd just love to be able to play something tonight

yea its $40 used at gamestop, most stores arent going to ship a single item like that between stores though so you'd have to drive to it

i bought one from gamestop, same model# and it didn't work at all, ended up trying like 10 other stores and no one helped

anyway, ended up calling microsoft and got a free one, but now i have to wait 2-3 weeks =/ damn near well impossible to find a power brick
