Campbell needs to go to a backup role in a stable situation with a good QBs coach for about 2 years, then go start somewhere after the lockout lol.

Nope. Assembling such a talent laden team would surely get the NFL's competition committee on my back. Imagine Losman to Devin Thomas for TD's while Orton takes sanctioned whiskey breaks on the sidelines for our sponsors.

I'd make Jerry Jones and Al Davis look like the Rooneys.

Even at his worst he is light years ahead of Jake. We give Jake a good 5 second pocket and he still throws it to Smitty in triple coverage which always results in the opposing team taking it to the house.

I'd take Campbell as our starter if it meant ridding ourselves of Jake, which doesn't look likely. He said he plans to come back next season as the starter. Fox better goddamn not, especially considering Moore saved his fucking job.

D Will is not a top 5 back by any means of the imagination lol.

You must consider the teams each plays for, the O Lines each play for, and then place them on the teams of other RB to see how they might stack up.

    Best 5 backs:

    1. CJ
    2. Sjax
    3. AP
    4. MJD
    5. Turner

Sjax is the most underrated and overlooked player in the league. If he was on even a 7-9 team, he would be absolutely outstanding. If you were to "build" the perfect RB on a computer, Sjax would be what came out of your printer.

So outside of Ray Rice not being there (young player, I understand).. our list is the same. I also understand the power that is S Jax. He did a lot of his shit this year while hurt too. That's heart right there.

Dallas still had 2000+ yards rushing this year between the three, don't hate. If those teams with stud RBs this year had a good QB with Austin and Witten they would of done the same, only get so many plays per game.

    Felix > Mendenhall

    2008 Draft:

    22. Felix Jones
    25. Mike Jenkins (pro bowl)
    61. Marty B (underperforming this year except at blocking, John Phillips playing better this year, but Marty B was cash as a rookie)
    122. Tashard Choice (steal)
    143. Orlando Scandrick

Pretty good draft, all of them are active roster.

1 2 and 5 I can understand. Peterson is beast mode like a mofo, but his fumbleitis is costing him. I mean trucking aside why not put 2001 Tiki Barber on that list then? Since fumbling is a non issue.

SJax is already outstanding, but I think MJD is closer to being a "perfect" back. The low center of gravity helps and big backs take more big hits which leads to shorter careers.

Dont front, Marty B is overrated as fuck man. I know he is hilarious and has a great fucking blog but he is Jerramy Stevens minus the underage rage and chop blocking.

I don't understand why more teams don't shop thier #1-5 picks around. You can get 3 proven NFL players vs an unproven prospect. And probably for a a lot cheaper too! I think 3 nfl ready talents can turn a team around more reliably than a "hopeful" can. They more often prove to be busts anyway than spectacular.

2010: Rams, Lions, Bucs, Redskins, Chiefs
2009: Lions, Rams, Chiefs, Seahawks, Jets
2008: Dolphins, Rams, Falcons, Raiders, Chiefs
2007: Raiders, Lions, Browns, Bucs, Cards
2006: Texans, Saints, Titans, Jets, Packers
2005: 49ers, Dolphins, Browns, Bears, Bucs
2004: Chargers, Raiders, Cards, Giants, Redskins
2003: Bengals, Lions, Texans, Jets, Cowboys
2002: Texans, Panthers, Lions, Bills, Chargers
2001: Falcons, Cards, Browns, Bengals, Chargers
2000: Browns, Redskins, Redskins, Bengals, Ravens

Look how many teams repeatedly show up on this list. Look how many don't make the playoffs the following year. Look how many of the top 5 have been busts. Now I'm not saying all drafts produce crap (2004 was a hell of a year), but teams shouldn't expect 1 prospect, who's odds are already stacked against him stepping up from colligate to professional level, to turn their team around.

Moss would agree as well I'm sure, I think Turner is an outstanding back but top 5? C'mon man.

Yeah Turner does not belong the list. After last year he did but he needs to prove himself again before he is considered top 5.

Finding someone to trade up isn't easy though, have to commit a shit ton of money to those high picks.

Exactly, I'm talking purely on the basis of consistency. That list seems to be full of players that can truck people, why not put Ray Zellers on that list then? Le'Ron McClain or even Johnathan Stewart?

Welt you my man and all but I think you slighted D.Will because of Lendale being butt hurt last year that he was out performed by our backs and CJ was in the process of taking his job. If D.Will stayed at home and played in TN you'd be all over him lol.

But only one team can win the fleece-the-fuck-out-of-Al-Davis sweepstakes every year, at least for his first rounder
