I have summed it up to two choices. Either:

And whilst those one-handers have to eat pizza, a decent 2 hander can eat meat and have capped acc in a lot of common situations.

Which situtations ? MMJ camp and einherjar are excluded. All I see is Bird camp, SAM or THF can't use meat there because sushi does better (wether SAM is using polearm or GK)

Besides, the biggest bonus 2 handers get is /sam. You can argue whatever you like about differing calculations, pizza, blah blah blah, but hasso and meditate are just far too sexy, even when subbed.

The "2h patch" that I quoted in my post above is dex/str adjustement. /sam is an ajustement to SAM. All I said is that the "2h patch" should not have changed the hierarchy between THF and SAM or THF and WAR. Last I checked THF was not the best DD in 2006.

Why exclude them? Also, some may go "2h DD = sam", but I'm thinking of this in terms of 2h DD - war, drg, drk, not just sam. I'm not being argumentative, I just can't understand why you'd exclude the 2nd most popular merit camp and one of the best events in the game.

You can assess it in a vacuum if you like, but it's pointless. The 2h change happened, the sam and /sam patch happened, and while I won't disagree that the effect of the 2h patch is given more weight than it probably deserves by a lot of people, the fact that /sam is a viable, powerful sub for 2h DD does not help 1h DD at all.

I agree 2handed DD is better but I don't think the difference is as huge as people make it out to be.

Nah. it was proven but the "Nuh uh" method that str3 atk5 is far better than dex+5 atk+8 or dex+6 atk+10.
