I've done a bird meripo with mdk on THF. He did the same as my monk and had swift and not HQ dusk yet, and used BD/ X's. So without piercing monk is still ahead.

If he was mainhanding the lower damage weapon, then he's a retard although i'll give the benefit of the doubt of a misstype.

X's adds approx 10% damage to critical damage, so all SA and TA strikes and makes evisc a completely different weaponskill. X's has a similar impact on THF as Hagun does to SAM.

THF play style factors into parsing and damage much more than people think. Hitting 100tp with a few seconds on SA and TA timers means you need to decide if you should wait and stack your weapon skill, solo the weaponskill and strike a solo SA or TA (solo SA or TA each have optimum builds which balance haste, dex or agi and so on). Of course, you need to take into account which direction the mob is facing and where people are standing with respect to the mob, if anyone else is about to weaponskill and will it likely change which direction the mob is facing. (these things make THF a huge headache in dynamis and einherjar as mentioned earlier)

Given the sheer number of factors a good THF needs to balance off against each other, you can't just throw maths at it to say x > y. something as simple as some1 standing out of range for you to trick attack or weaponskilling seconds before you causing SA to miss can skew results horribly against THF.
But why should other people care about helping THF's damage? They should just jump on SAM and drop 9003 gekkos for 20k dmg, and get some1's mule to come on TH4 (TH"4", not TH"F")
