Considering I've been playing since 2003, I'm pretty sure I knew it went for such high amounts. Here's where I save face and say I was more "Jesus Stoomie"ing at the fact that he bought it on the AH for that price. Which btw, Thief's Knives rarely sold on the AH around that time, at least on Pandemonium iirc.

They were very rarely seen on the AH on Leviathan as well. I searched for two weeks or more through bazaars and shouts in Upper Jeuno before this one was listed, and sadly I believe the seller was an RMT.

I remember I got handed a THF account with a knife on it back in 2004 when I had no idea how much it was actually worth. Last AH sale was 20M, so I put it up for 20M.. Needless to say, it sold in minutes, and I found out that I lost over 80M a few minutes after that.

Or the people who bought Thief's Knives from people who immediately started selling them right after the update for 2-50mil depending. No one got the hint that there was a reason why people were selling it at times for so cheap.
