I've actually seen one drop out of the many Ultimas I've been to and have no intention of buying them. I could buy them if I really wanted to, but it's not that important..double drop just irks me.

More people in group = more people needing them, so the aspect of more people getting more chips is pretty moot. My shell(Cair's) does all temenos zones with 4 besides ultima itself, splits to apollyon with 2-3 people per zone, and ends up with about 1 ultima a month for 12 people. Haven't gotten a single pair of seraweels in the last 8 kills, so no, they aren't that easy to get. If you have a group that doesn't care about homam(nor about selling it), maybe..

It took me 3 years with 6 months pause inbetween failures with various fail linkshells, reluctant to splitting, bad ledership etc to get them. With the retrospect, I would either buy them even 10 millions, which would save me 3 years of bullshit doing boring stuffs. Once morrigan came to the game, it lost its value, being essentially a haste piece from that point. Then asa legs made it almost absolete, situationnal at best just like bricta's cuffs, valkyrie's cuff and so on. I'm seriously thinking to leave them at mog once I do ASA.

edit : lol at the /toss of ultima's, I did toss one macha's coat last year, we asked the buyer for that run if he wanted it for 500k since he didn't ask for them, but that was because he already had it.

This. I've been on Remora/current character for 8 months. I owned them before and god knows how many Ultimas I've killed, it's just an illustration of their difficulty to obtain.
