Feed the dogs/cats fresh garlic.
2-3 cloves a day, everyday.
After a couple of days, they will develop a kind of natural oil on the surface of their skin which fleas hate, and will drop off/go away.
Keep feeding them that till you are sure that your house is flea-free.
Only downside to this is when your dog pants on your face....it's reallyyyyy stinky.

How we managed to get them to eat fresh garlic cloves is force open their mouth, then close it with both our hands...after a few seconds, they will be swallowed lol.

take all of the pets to the vet for a flea treatment... and while they are away, bomb the house to kill adult fleas. Then, use a STEAM cleaner to clean every single spot your pets have been.. basically everything. The heat doesnt kill the eggs, but it will make the large majority of them hatch. Flea bombs cant get into the carpeting and upholstery nearly as well as they lead you to believe. After you do that, spray everything with Precor Insect Growth Regulator for fleas. After its dry, the only thing you will ever have to do again is give any pets that go outside their flea drops and spray the house once a year with the stuff. Its nearly impossible to find Precor outside of specialty places though, and when you do it'll run you $120 for a box of 10. If you get it off of ebay it wont cost nearly as much.

And i stand by that no matter what anyone says. Precor works better than any other product i have ever used..... and i spent over $1500 on exterminators and cleaners to try to get rid of fleas 2 years ago. Almost like clockwork.. 4 weeks after someone came in, fleas came back. Although, i did use a fabric steamer to "clean" everything.
