Great movie. Best I've seen since the Dark Knight.

This movie was spectacular. I went back and read the comic and I don't really mind the changes made to characters, given just how much fun I had watching the movie anyway. It took me back to my very early childhood, when I used to throw my GI Joes into styrofoam cup fortresses. Just something ridiculous and violent and silly, very well balanced and paced. I could watch this twice in theaters.

Yeah, I definitely liked the Kick Ass versions more. Both tracks have a sense of desperation (especially Surface of the Sun), which I think worked well in the scenes they were used in. Besides that, a little throw back to John Murphy is always nice.

Cause it's a good song? I doubt there was any good reason for it...

Movie scores are constantly recycled. Only "reason" would be is that it's an excellent track that suited the scenario.

While we're talking about songs, does anyone know the name of the one that played during Big Daddy's warehouse scene? Inb4 "that's the one we've been talking about" heh.

I think it was one of the songs we were talking about, lol. In the House in a Heartbeat.

Just got back from this. Aside from the obnoxious prick in front of us that laughed really loudly at literally everything, was an amazing moviegoing experience. I have zero complaints about the movie. Good pacing, perfect amount of action/drama/comedy. Definitely would see again!

Cage was funny as hell in this, his acting was so campy. (Purposely) I really liked all the characters. A++++

so many favorite moments, but I think one of the top was
    Spoiler: show
when they're watching the feed through the teddy bear and Big Daddy comes in and rapes. That shit was fantastic.

Yeah that was great (the spoiler)

    Spoiler: show
I don't typically get any chills during movies but that scene and the warehouse where he's being burnt alive/hit-girl is saving them did it for me. That shit was so good.

I for one, forgive Cage for all the shitty movies/acting he has done because of this performance.

Was the best fucking scene in the movie. The light made everything just work so well. I hate Cage as much as the next guy, and while this doesn't absolve him, he didn't ruin the movie for me like I thought he would.

Caught onto that right away. Perfect for the role and dead-on.

And thanks, Elcura, for the answer about the song.

I just saw it. I thought it was pretty good. Some of the changes didn't quite fit for me. I didn't really hate them though.

Agreed. It was a little too much like batman for my taste.

Also, in love with hitgirl. 10/10 for the movie, though. Battle loli's make everything better.

    About the jetpack

Comic + Movie spoiler, if you haven't partaken in one or the other.

    Spoiler: show
Definitely would have preferred the flamethrower and Hit-girl calling the gangsters guinea fucks while high on cocaine, but you can't win them all. I was fine with most of the changes but I really wish they had led that whole scene as it was in the comics, though the bazooka was a nice touch.
