Ooh, I like Jeff Hardy, I can't believe I missed him on TNA. Oh well, maybe he'll be on it next week. I really need to quit reading into wrestling on Wikipedia when I mean to go to bed.

WWE - 0
TNA - 1
It was great to see Bret get closure, but of course it had to have an angle and Vince kicked him in the balls. Way to f--- it up.
Bret signed a contract with WWE keeping him around till early April. Of course there had to be some kinda of angle planted.
Was watching the Fiesta Bowl, so I had a choice to DVR one show and I went with TNA and I'm glad I did. The no contest in the cage match was BS, but beyond that, I liked the overall product they put back out there.
The match between Styles and Angle was flat out amazing and I was positive they were going to puss out and have it end in DQ (especially after the masked man attack). Glad they didn't, they put on one hell of a match.
They had way too many random cameos though that didn't really add up to much of anything. They just need to stick to the damn wrestling, it's what they do best and what I want to see.
I'm hoping the whole angle of "everyone earns their spot" means they will start shifting to the younger guys. Continuing to hold on to every last old wrestler and putting them all over for no go reason is what turned me off before. There is no doubt there are still some solid old-school personalities that could stay over, but it'll be WCW version 2.0 if they try to stick to them again.
Sounds like RAW ended up like I expected it to. Brett Hart only thing worth a damn, snoozefest the rest of the thime.
I watched wrestling for the first time in months last night.
Primarily TNA, switching to Raw every couple minutes.
I liked the overall show that TNA put on. Raw was extremely boring, just as I remember.
Watching the Bret Hart youtube moments from this past Monday and it just makes me rage so much how WWE sucks so bad at the moment.
TNA does have good wrestling but they have way too many vignettes/angles. The first hour only had two matches. Most TNA matches go for only three to four minutes.
I watch TNA all the time and I want them to succeed but I'm afraid that with them bringing in so much new talent, they are going to need even MORE vignettes and the wrestling will be even less.
One thing I didn't like about the show was the beatdown of wrestlers in the back. Too much like the old nWo and they cut to one beatdown during a match, which is something WCW did all the time. This just takes even more away from the wrestling.
I like how TNA is amping it up big time but I'm very wary of the idea of Hulk Hogan as booker.
I was very disappointed with TNA on monday. I had high hopes that they would step it up but it was very apparent they just fell right back into the same problems they always have. They had an hr of airtime with no WWE to compete again to set the tone of the show and what do they do? They have a bullshit cage match that ends with a no contest of all things. When the fans are screaming "This is bullshit" after the first match, its not a good sign.
Some of the production values were very poor. You got ODB pulling the tights of Tara for the pin and it shows a little asscrack. And what do they do? They show a blank shot of the crowd very far away. It just drew more attention to what they were trying to hide. Why not just use a different angle from one of the other cameramen at ringside. Not to mention when the fans would use foul language, they would just block out all sound when it happens, including commentary and/or the wrestlers talking. Plus TNA is going the old route of trying (yet again) to do a nWo group. Just feels so phoned in and not thought through. The only saving grace of the show was the amazing show that Styles and Angle put on. That match was damned good.
Raw was no better. Bret Hart was in the end a disappointment. Outside of the HBK and Vince segments, he had virtually no input or presence on the show. It was more like he was a guest instead of being a guest HOST. The Vince stuff was very underwhelming and you could just tell that he was gonna do something since they dragged it all out. And for all the waiting, we get a kick to the balls? Just seemed very anti-climatic. Dont get me started on the DX/Hornwoggle stuff.
Overall, I was hoping monday was going to be the start of a new era of wrestling but instead it was more of the same.
Aw man, sounds like I missed some badass appearances.
I need to get cable back. D:
TNA at least has the hope of doing something better; WWE is a fucking behemoth and I stopped watching after I realized that it would be Cena vs. Orton vs. Batista vs. whoever the fuck OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
TNA will make me watch no matter who is wrestling.. their X-division is unfucking real, and the above poster who mentioned the Motorcity vs. Japanese dudes fight, I held my breath the entire time watching that. I fucking hope Jeff Hardy goes back to TNA, they nerfed him on RAW and tried to bulk him up on steroids and he just doesn't move right.
Also during the TNA Christmas special a few years ago ODB called out the words that have come to define any situation that requires yelling: "BAM! YOU A SLUT."
Also I would break my open my pelvis to receive Kevin Nash's seed into my womb. GodDAMN.
Big Daddy Cool? Dude's 50 years old now! But i'm sure its comforting to him that he can still pick up women off the internet
50 and HOT. And HOT, Cephius.
you strike me as more of a shawn michaels kind of chick, thats all
HE'S JUST A SEXY BOY
yeah no. No no no no no. Ugh. I watched the fucking Dead or Alive movie for Nash. Do you understand that kind of love?
Hey now, the DOA movie wasnt that bad. It was just like the game.....
Light-hearted, full of blantant T&A, and a perfect example of style over substance.
You cant hate on Nash. He was Super Shredder!
If you like those kinds of matches, I suggest checking out Ring of Honor. They have/had some really good performers there. Here's a link to a tag match they had late last year that is one of the best matches I've seen in a long time:
American Wolves vs Young Bucks (Bucks just signed to TNA)
Part 1
Part 2
