WWE ruined Lance Storm. He was a star in ECW, and he was on his way up in WCW, the best was when he renamed the Hardcore Title he had as part of his 4 belts, the Saskatchewan Hardcore International Title but had it shortened to S.H.I.T. and had to put tape over the letters.

Lance Storm is one of those underrated wrestlers who isnt flashy, has top notch technical wrestling skills, and was ruined cause he didnt have a "gimmick". The curtain call for him in WWE was when they had Stone Cold come out and get the crowd to chant "BORING" whenever he wrestled. That kind of heat will haunt a wrestler for the rest of his career.


As for being witness to wrestling history, I can say I was in Madison Square Garden the night that Kane lost his mask to HHH (and Goldberg beat the Five-Minute White Boy Challenge)....

Man, that promo starts off with my boy, The Franchise!!! I had the chance to meet him a few years ago when he was hired for a weekend show by a local Chicago wrestling fed. He is my favorite wrestler so it was pretty awesome to meet him, he was very nice and took a few pictures and signed a few autographs before he ran off to the hotel, lucky me having my camera lol.

For Storm, I have his very last ever ECW match at home on my computer that I should try to upload to share with you guys. Mind you, this was his last match with the "real" ECW, and not the match he did at WWE's first One Night Stand ppv they put on after buying ECW....which was still pretty good, heh.

I used to watch wrestling a lot back when WCW was still good (Nash, Sting, cruiserweights <3), and WWE still had all their big names. I stopped watching when WCW tanked, but my friend became a huge, huge wrestling fan. He watches a shitton of stuff, including smaller federations from Mexico and Japan, and there's some real gems there.

I always complain to him how I think Cena is boring (though admittedly, I've only seen a handful of his matches, but wasn't really impressed) and that a majority of the current WWE superstars look generic as fuck. WWE has this weird obsession with bulk, I don't get it. "You got popular with speed and highflying action overseas? Go take some steroids son, we don't need that sort of thing in our wrasslin' in Americuh". Enter anonymous Muscular dude in shorts #451, fuck yeah.

If you like speedy stuff, Ring of Honor is indeed great, and Dragon Gate is up the same alley. I'm glad I got introduced to those, much more entertaining to watch. Also: he showed me some of that wrestling show MTV tried to set up, terrible yet hilarious. Was like watching matches in fast forward, with a side of pyrotechnics and general silliness.

That's one of the few wrestling sites I check regularly. He has some really good commentary and stories.

This is Vince's biggest downfall IMO. He sees the big, bulky superstar as more marketable than the smaller superstars. A smaller wrestler might have a bone tossed his way every now and then (see: Rey, CM Punk); however, their title reigns are always incredibly short. It's easy to get excited when someone like that wins the belt, but in the back of your mind, you know they are going to drop the strap within a PPV or two.

Vince hasn't been about wrestling for a long time and hasn't hidden it. As someone said before, he doesn't even like saying his business is wrestling, it's entertainment. For him, the pinnacle of that entertainment is a larger than life piece of meat that is entertaining on the microphone.

WWE has legitimately banned many of the high flying moves smaller wrestlers use as well. Too many people were getting hurt.


Evan Bourne was the first dude that was allowed to use the shooting star press since Lesnar almost broke his neck.... from what I can remember.
