i need to see some actual crumping, not just flexing. that shit aint hard, it's the actual crumping with extremely controlled movements that gets tough. NEXT

Dude turned out to be a pretty good dancer. He won, even though I was rooting for Eleanor (Kuya). Oh well.

I got served twice so far in the span of four years apart. First time was when it was a few days before Christmas, and the second time during the Summer before Comic Con. I was able to get out both times due to personal reasons that would have made me bias. Though, truthfully if I got picked, I would have just flipped a coin and called it a day.

Meh, but to go on. Jury duty at least the part where you are summoned isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Most of the time you're just sitting in the lobby while your group gets called and you just go to one of the courtrooms and just answer questions retaining to the case. Then you go down to the counter, get your shit checked out, and then you're done. It's kind of too bad I got out the first day, because if I had stayed more days. I would have gotten paid for each concurrent day.

Nope, once you serve(picked or not picked) they shouldn't bother you again until 2.5-3years later. Getting out of it just postpones it for a few months atleast it did for me. I got out of it back in 05 like 3 times in a row and it just only pushed it back for 2months each time and it comes faster and faster each time you push it back.

Tell him to serve, get it over with.

Its me. I planned on going to get it over with, but things changed since the last time I was called.

Last time I called the night before the first day and my group wasn't chosen and it said I was done. Now I have to keep calling every day even if my group wasn't chosen. But my group was, so that doesn't matter anymore. Hoping I get done earlier than the 2 weeks, but I'm not expecting that to be the case.

And from the form I had to fill out, previous jury duty only exempts you if it was within the last year (was previous 2 or 3 years before).

In Pennsylvania they mail you a letter that assigns you a Juror number, and the night before you are supposed to go in you have to call a number to find out if you have to go or not. If you don't have to go in they consider your duty fulfilled and you are off the hook for at least 12 months. All four times I've gotten a letter I didn't have to go in.

My wife had to go in once and all she did was sit in a room for 3 hours then they let her go. She didn't have to get interviewed for a jury or anything, and they gave her a check for like $16 for her trouble.

Just because you can't serve on a jury doesn't mean you won't be called to serve in other ways. When I got called about 6 months ago, the told us that the rule was "one day or one case". I don't know if that's FL or if it was just my county. Some people can be asked to answer phones, or stuff like that.

But really, unless you're called as part of a very small jury pool, chances are you will go in, spend the day in a large room waiting, and then go home until next year.

Just keep in mind that if you are excused from jury duty, usually your name goes right back in the pool to be picked. If you show up, you get a year off (or more, or less, whatever your jursidiction allows) until your name goes back in.

I served jury duty last year, had a week long case, I was happy about sending a child molester to jail and I made a hundred bucks.

Also, here's the suggested dress code thing I had told you about:

That's how it was here a few years back, but now they have it so you have to check back each day and it only clears you for 1 year.
    It still depends on state.

I had to goto federal court a few months ago for jury duty, got dismissed from the jury pool very early and I do not need to serve again for 3 years.

So it all depends on your state and town requirements on jury duty... i'd guess the higher populated areas means you have to serve less (as in boston, once every 3 years)
