G15 kills...
...my other USB ports it seems.
I purchased this around 2 years ago now, and for the greater part of the last year, I haven't been using it. I've tried every now and then to plug it in and it'll work (typing on it now) but if I wiggle around the wire it'll turn off. This leads me to believe it's faulty wiring or just fucked up at this point, until I noticed the next part.
Whenever I plug in the G15 to either the back 4 ports, or the front 2, every other USB device stops responding. Easiest to notice was charging my iPhone via USB; plug in the G15, screen goes back to normal idle. Unplug it, and it goes right back to the charging screen (assuming the phone has always been plugged in and the only difference is the whether the G15 is plugged in or not)
So, what gives? I'd hate to really admit I spent the 90 bucks on the keyboard and it's completely useless at this point. I mean it works for a while if I leave it on my desk but I like having it in my lap which randomly kills it. Requires unplugging and wiggling it back into other ports until it feels like working again, which ranges from 5 seconds to 15 minutes.
Completely stumped at this point. I have absolutely no idea what it could be, not enough power going to all the USB ports? Can that be increased? First year I used it I never had this problem which makes it odd.
Send halp.

The keyboard may be using up more bandwidth that your back group of USB ports there are able to supply with the other devices plugged in, have you tried checking that?
(Advanced/Power Tab for the USB ports themselves under Device Manager)

Still the same thing for Vista (so most likely 7 too), just go to Device Manager.
Controller properties for USB will tell you bandwidth use, Hub properties will tell you current draw/available.
