Tharon'ja is hilarious with shaman in the group and well geared dps all around, lay down fire elemental and the damn thing gets so confused by the speed between transitions that you end up with the group split between transformations lol. I was skeleton in the normal phase and bear in the skeleton phase once.

I may be the odd person out, but I actually enjoy Oculus. I find the drakes to be fun, and the only irritating part about it is when randoms just fly off wherever they please. I've been lucky enough to either be with friends or with people who know what the fuck, and we just let the random die and bitch while we continue clearing the instance.

    1) Yes, I do know that they have the PTR to figure these things out. The PTR doesn't tell them everything though, because the average person that plays on the PTR is better geared and higher skilled than the average person on a live server.

    2) Yes, I do know that the hard modes for ICC haven't been released, but GC has stated several time that this is their approach to dealing with new content. This was true of Ulduar and even before that. Normal raids are for normal raiders, so they start a little harder and move it back until normal raiders can deal with them. You get better gear from hard modes for a reason.
Disagree with what? I was just posting the recent in game fixes from the WoW forums. Anyway every game has bad players WoW is no different.

This isn't a WoW specific thing. This isn't a gaming specific thing. This is a human thing. Humans will bitch about ANYTHING, no matter HOW amazing it is, people will bitch. There are people who have played EQ and FFXI who knows just how hard/tedious/etc. some shit is in other MMO's that will come and bitch and complain about WoW despite it being a world better in just about everything. Hell, we have a thread here dedicated to bitching about WoW.

Complaining is just something we do as humans, no real point looking into it further. Sure, it's stupid, but that's how we are, lets move on.

fastest wotlk heroic is definitely one of UK, OK, Azjol, DTK, or Gundrak.

I think it's actually OK, provided you only fight the 2 bosses. It's kind of a tossup with any of those, though.

But yeah if they're gonna change stuff like this it should be CoT, HoS, or HoL first.

However, that's looking at it from the point of player enjoyment, which they're not. They're looking exclusively at the "instant leaving" factor.

Blizzard is seriously as retarded about ptr shit as that other game is about anything. It's the one thing that really gets me.

They honestly sat there when people were saying "hey people are going to just bail when they get occulus" and replied that "well, when we had the 'play with a blue' event on ptr, and people got in an occulus group with a blue playing a dk with shadowmourne, they didn't leave!"

    flawless fucking logic, 4realz.

Also, fuck emerald and red drakes, 5 gold that actually know how to work it can demolish him in like 20 seconds flat, with 1 single time stop.

I think its a good idea to entice more people to stay, but the vehicle mechanics were never the issue, it was the flying off into the sunset and aggroing dragons that really pissed people off. i think Oculus was designed for people to learn to play in a 3d environment so they could raid malygos and not be entirely stupified by the fact that you can move in every direction imaginable, i think "holy shit we can fly up and down" would just have blown some peoples minds and it clearly continues to do so, so much that they leave before their head explodes.

more emblems is nice, free gems & stuff also very nice, but i think that drake is what we're all gonna be after.

After playing FFXI and my limited time in WoW, I can plainly and clearly say that WoW is different. I believe fully that it is because of WoW's mainstream success, which brings in a lot more run of the mill peeople than the normal MMO.

Of course it's different i wasn't the one who brought up FFXI in this topic though. You say the normal MMO but from here on out every MMO will try to mimic WoWs appeal and so i expect more blah blah casual gaming QQing.

Honestly the thing that bothered me most was having groups of multiple casters spread too far for any silence to get all of them, that would stand exactly where they were until interrupted or silenced, and oh yeah they all have 2 schools.

That's fixed now, they'll all run directly to you for the first few seconds. Makes the entire instance infinitely better imo.

Now if only their class design would follow suit, instead they take a class, nerf/buff it into the ground/heavens then follow up a few months later by doing the opposite and either nerfing the buff horribly, or buffing the nerf beyond what it needed.

You beat him in 18seconds when his planar shift is 18secs and he uses it twice? o_O. Isnt it a % based move?

I'm not sure how fast planar shift actually happens from when it activates, but if the people are ultra-coordinated I can see killing him before shift if there's like... 2 globals before it actually occurs.

You're basically alternating gcd's of 125k dmg > 500k dmg > 125k dmg > 500k dmg, and that was before increased gear scaling.

Can't remember exactly the timing because it was a long ass time ago, but it was fucking fast either way.

Jesus, could you be anymore of a fan boi? I wasn't even comparing them on a game-play level, and I only compared them from my experience.

I wouldn't consider myself a fanboy just started playing WoW recently and i'll probably be jumping to 14 whenever that comes out. You brought up FFXI and then attack the player base by saying they couldn't cut it in any other MMO so don't call me a fanboy.

Without ventrilo, it's not particularly easy to pull. You will probably end up wasting more time setting it than going normally.

"You guys channel while I do a lance, then I'll channel while you all do lance. Go back to channeling as soon as you lance."

    It's really pretty simple.

Also, this is why we can't have nice things.
