The Joy Formidable album is really good, but it's kind of hard for me to think of it as a 2011 release when half of the songs on it are at least a couple years old. I didn't really dig Girls' stuff, but they're showing up pretty high on most of the lists I've seen so far. And Fucked Up also, kind of baffled as to why a punk band is getting so much attention from indie blogs.

I really dig the Joy Formidable album, though I was late to the party. I heard "Whirring" when I was ejecting my CD from a rarely-used car radio, and I was like...this is the bomb D:

I dig the female vocals. Naked and Famous, Joy Formidable, Florence, and Imogen Heap have dominated most of my playlists over the last couple of weeks. Still haven't fully gone through the new Florence album because I keep getting stuck on the first few tracks on a loop. And then I go to the first album which was phenomenal.
