I don't really go on FB anymore, but I've definitely noticed the trend that most DnB producers are taking lately (maybe not most but a lot of them). I actually like the dub/dnb mashup type of deal goin on' personally.
Pretty damn awesome, good to hear them again :D
This^
They can whine all they want though, they're just mad 'cause they think DubStep is just some new fad when really it's a sick variation on DnB. Probably just bandwagoning against it without listening to tracks honestly.

P.S. The Alejandro video is one of the gayest things I've ever seen, don't get me started on the musical context on the song lol.
Dubstep is still growing pretty quickly. With indie websites like Pitchfork exposing it to audiences outside of the EDM fanbase, it's getting fucking huge.
Which is fine by me, I love the stuff.
yeah, i'm totally fine with people outside the usual EDM community getting more interested in dub/dnb and worlds beyond, i'm all for new music and people enjoying a genre i enjoy, unlike indie stuff

anyone have any similar artists to netsky/sub focus? i'm not huge into DnB but this new more dubsteppy DnB is pretty awesome, especially all of these more downtempo (moreso than usual DnB) tracks with awesome vocals are right up my alley.

a bit older but this is some of the drum and bass I used to play / love back when I was big into it and it's the stuff dubstep is based off of

didn't keep track of shows and I missed the opportunity to see her by a few hours because the box office closed
Oh well, she moved to NY I think, she'll play again
If you like stuffz like Netsky.. you may like some Paul B, he's one of my fav DJs and he's really into a more chilling vibe from the bass.

God DAMN Cyn you are the fucking man! I've been through lists of Diplo vids on YouTube and hadn't found this remix yet lol xD. This guy is a fav of mine nowadays after [as] has been plugging him and tipped me off to him haha.

If you have not done so already, you should seriously try to catch Major Lazer live in concert. As badass as Diplo is, the shit he pulls off playing with Switch is fucking AMAZING. When I saw them I was a little more excited to see Rusko (he opened) going into it, but Lazer fucking blew him out o the water. By far the sickest dancehall influenced dubstep I've ever heard.
I've actually been listening to Lazer since he dropped that bizarre music video a while back (Hold The Line, not 'Pon De Floor... even though both equally disturbing) and have him on a couple mixes. Sadly I have not seen him live, been waiting to catch him around the northwest;;
Off the top of my head one of my fav tracks from him:
