Random math question...

Not sure if this is right place to post but... er

I was looking through my calculus book and in an example it's simplifying an equation and says..

(sqrt(h+4)^2)-9 = h - 5

Is this a typo? Shouldn't it equal h - 7? Thanks lol..

Square root cancels out the ^2, h+4-9 = h-5.
