I think agree with this, but i suppose the point of saying that they should be considered non-human persons is that they be aforded some form of right. Perhaps making it murder to kill a dolphin? I don't know if it's already illegal to kill dolphins, if so, then perhaps harsher penalties.

Third? Sure, but second? Nah:

Ricky does not approve.
Doesn't look human, so i don't see the problem.
Humans aren't any better.

This is how it starts. Anti-human propaganda.
Parrots don't think beyond basic object recognition. Corvids are actually smarter than any parrot, if you want to talk about birds.

I don't know what you mean, shiro.
Kuya, you are entering a world of pain.
Au contraire, ignorance is bliss.
Ant get smarter and smarter as more of them are around.
10 army ants together will run in circles until they die.
A colony will use "advanced" tactics for catching prey, regulate temperatures, keep accurate time etc.
That got your attention?
Now consider that there is a ant colony spanning 4 continents with 200 million anthills having tens of thousands of ants.

I for one welcome our insect overlords.
There should be a fucking law against stupid liberal douchebags interpreting real scientific research. It's assholes like this that gave us idiocy like "Intelligent Design".Thomas White, professor of ethics at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, who has written a series of academic studies suggesting dolphins should have rights, will speak at the same conference.
“The scientific research . . . suggests that dolphins are ‘non-human persons’ who qualify for moral standing as individuals,” he said.
