I think it would make sense for them to be able to save and send images. It's better to make them able to, and choose not to, than to make them unable to.

Afterall, what if you catch someone smuggling stuff? You kinda need that image for prosecution, later. And to fend off the lawyers. Otherwise, people will just claim you're holding someone for an extended period of time without cause or proof in the name of national security.

If you catch something on someone with a scanner, security will confiscate it. The fact that security/police found the drugs/guns/etc on the person is enough to prosecute. If the cops were to bust in my house and find cocaine in my pocket, they wouldn't need any pictures to prosecute me.

Well, at least, it makes more sense to make it able to save and send images, but only do so for people who have stuff on them. Images of innocents will not be saved, images of non-innocents will be... and then posted on the internet for people to make fun of.

Just another way for the Government to control us pretty much.
They dont have any thoughts on protecting the Public it's all a fraud to increase a "Security" Country where all your actions are monitered.

Sure these Scanners can find Bombs and Weapons, INSIDE the Airport, but what about outside it? They can still detonate Bombs before they get to the Scanners, so basically they will need a Entrance Scanner to get to the Main Scanner to even make this an effective solution.

Also the Man who tried to Bomb a Detroit Airliner was a fraud hired by the Government to be caught on purpose in the act, thus giving Obama an excuse to implement them. This "Bomber" got through Security with No Passport, no Plane ticket and dressed in Face Covering Robes, how the hell did he get through?

Funny how they were implemented without ANY Public knowledge, no Public Voting, no Stages of Law making, not even a "How do you feel about getting your privates coming up on our screens?"
Not to mention they break about a dozen Child Porngraphy Laws.
You can be jailed for having CP on your PC, but these people in Airports are free to look at them? Because obviously my 5 Year Old son has a Homemade Bomb Device on him.

I don't mind a pat down, when the other option is this scanner. There's just too many things going on about it, what they say it can and can't do, then it's revealed that it can actually do such and such. It's just too much.

Last time I was at the Airport they pulled me aside and did a pat down and it took all of like 30 seconds, so I would rather do that than worry about scanners and nudes.

Oh nightraid, bless your conviction. I suppose we should just forgo any security measure because it's obviously the government trying to keep us down. :3

The full-body scanner is not going to be replacing the metal detector that everyone passes through. I think I'm missing what the big deal is here. D:
