I haven't seen that yet on facebook. I don't have many friends.
Dead to me. Cant fuckin stand people who have seizure inducing wallpapers that don't even look cool.
Alive only as much as the souls of the emo users who powered it.
I don't use it anymore...I should just delete. I use facebook.
People still use myspace?
What really killed myspace, at least for me, is the sheer amount of spam invites you would get. Between the pages that would link you to webcam sites and every kid with a guitar and a page wanting you to see their band, it was hard to actually talk to people. I havent been on my myspace after I bit the bullet and got facebook on my 30th b-day.
No great loss.
The first "big" site like myspace was Friendster, in 2002. Friendster was crude, but took off super fast. Myspace then completely stole the idea, but improved upon it, allowing linked photos and music. The Myspace Music thing was a great idea. However, Myspace didn't automatically shield your userdata from the world. Facebook expanded upon the Myspace ideas, had built-in security by only allowing profile viewing after friendship, etc.
Somewhere in there, Orkut was born and died, and no one noticed.
Something else will come and supplant facebook as soon as someone can provide more of what the users want...
