The Olympics have this very strange untouchable reputation for turning everything into gold. But actually the reality is that they wreak economic and political havoc and frankly, the winter Olympics are just not that popular. (How many of you can name where they're being held without Googling it? Yeah) But see, challenging the idea that the Olympics might not be as golden as the world perceives might take some kind of independent spine, which NBC clearly lacks.
Are the newest Conan eps on Hulu yet?
brb, setting my DVR to record the last two episodes of Conan.
Holy fucking shit at Conan. A+++++
Apparently the car thing isn't on hulu. >.>
just use the gawker link, has everything relevant
No I mean I saw it, but I wanted to talk to my brother about the car bit and they had it removed (he had no clue what I was talking about). Thought it was weird and worth mentioning.
probably because of what he said about the licensing fees lol
I was in tears the moment he said Bugatti Veyron, because they talk about it all the time on Top Gear so I knew how expensive that shit was
"1.5 million dollars hahahaha"

I'm not a Howard Stern fan, but found it hilarious to see him predict this would happen to Conan a few years ago:

Also it seems Conan will be on Letterman after all of this is done (second clip):

Been a great week to watch Conan.
I woke my wife up laughing when he did that. Shit was amazing.
1.5M mouse car reveal while playing a royalty heavy song. Team Coco ftw
Apparently I missed that.![]()
Car bit was great. Also loved the movies Sandler was gonna make with Conan like Fire Crotch & Super Jew. The pic with all the orange pubes was gross lol. I died laughing when Sandler was singing to Conan then it flashed to Andy crying.
Awesome that we found out that NBC fired Sandler and Farley
NBC has had them on lockdown for years, in large part because of the same douchebag NBC exec Dick Ebersol speaking out against Conando. But essentially NBC intends to provide the same level of coverage that there was at the Summer Games and they paid 800mill for the right to cover it but theres no way they can generate the level of ad revenue the summer games do because there are less star performers/sports people care about.
