NBC continuing to fail

Conan mentioned something that just shows what a screw over NBC is doing.

He said that he was never given the chance to establish a good show and gain viewers. It has been only 6 months and they are basically kicking him to the curve, because his show is doing bad. The ratings before Jay started at 10pm show Conan was doing well, as soon as Jays show began the ratings dropped because people would change the channel and not bother coming back for the tonight Show.

You can't really blame Conan for the bad ratings it's been only 6 months, I wonder if Jay was a instant hit when he took over for Carson. Sad thing is NBC doesn't give a shit about letting him build a fanbase. On the plus side depending on Conan's contract he can sue NBC and he would probably win the case on some sort of breach of contract and make around 30mil. ( his contract was like 6 year plan for 40-50 mil).

Mondays show was awesome at how he just made fun of NBC i hope he continues to do that.

I watched Conan and Jay for awhile and i enjoyed Conan more I went back and watched his earlier shows and man they were bad, thing is he had time to work things out and improve the show. This time around he wasn't given that chance, you can argue that he would still be on the tonight show but that's crap since its not gonna be at the normal time. Anyways I hope he does quit and finds a way to screw over NBC at the same time.

First Conan O'Brien Leaves, Now Jay Leno?

Sources close to former 'Tonight Show' host Jay Leno tell me he is furious with the way NBC has treated him and Conan O'Brien and is considering walking away from the entire mess with his head held high. "Now that Conan has made it clear he is leaving the troubled network, Jay is considering doing the same. They have put Jay in a terrible position. It looks like he is the reason that Conan is now without a job. Jay is a great guy and it's not fair that due to NBC's stupidity he looks like the bad guy," a TV insider tells me.

"Plus, what happens when Jay does return to the 11:35 slot if his audience doesn't immediately follow? How can he possibly trust the same network that canceled Conan after only seven months?"

Ok, obviously I need to go watch the new Leno show one of these nights but since I'm here at work, I'll ask:

What's so bad about the new Leno show? Isn't it just a compressed version of his old show? Now, I only saw his opening day, and only the first 15 minutes even, but from what I gathered it went from:

OLD SHOW
20 Minutes Opening --> 10 Minute "Skit" (Jaywalking, Etc) -> 30 Minutes spread across Interviewees

to

NEW SHOW
10 Minutes Opening -> 20 Minutes spread across Interviewees

So from what it looked like at least, all they did was trim 10 minutes from each "segment", oh and try to pretend its not the same show by just having them sit casually in 2 chairs with no desk. But from what I originally gathered the opinions of the new and old show for any given person should have remained essentially unchanged. Obviously what I "gathered" was wrong, so until I see it, I ask, what's so bad now?

This entire clusterfuck is just NBC trying to after they told everyone Leno would work at 10pm. Instead of just admitting they failed, they're clinging onto the notion that Leno's old 11:35 audience would return to him under the right conditions. They won't, he's cooked, stick a fucking fork in that whiny asshole. He should just retire and live happily ever after with his extensive collection of old cars and denim shirts.

If Conan and Jay go, I pray to god Fallon does not take over he sucks even more than Jay or any other talk show host. I would rather have the Wayne Brady talk show they used to have like 5 years ago on another station instead of Fallon. Jimmy Fallon having a show makes me rage.
