I currently have about a 3-year-old PC with an ASUS P5N32-E motherboard and an EVGA GeForce GTX 260 video card. I'm also using the on-board audio.

As of now, I'm using a VGA cable to connect my PC to my TV, but that connection only supports 1920x1080, 1024x768, 800x600, and 640x480. For audio, I have an optical SPDIF cable connected to my receiver.

I'd like to consolidate those two cables and use the built-in HDMI port on the video card (more-so because both cables barely reach and are unsightly). The problem is I can't figure out where to hook up the damn audio cable from my video card to the motherboard (it looks like a 2-pin jumper connection). Would anyone here happen to be familiar with doing this type of set up?

Another question I have: I can only get 5.1 audio from my PC while I'm watching movies (as I have Media Player configured for SPDIF-out). Is there no way to get 5.1 or 7.1 audio from games? If I can get HDMI audio working, would that help? Or do virtually no games support anything but 2-channel stereo sound?

Thanks!
