And by convention makes it buggy as all hell. VLC has been a nightmare on everything but a *nix based system for me.


For Windows I would definitely advocate CCCP and MHPC (might need to update, sometimes CCCP uses really really old releases of MHPC), I use the x64 version without issue though I'm not really sure it gives any advantages over the 32 bit version.
