    Prove me wrong.

You need to get over other people's opinions, Priran.
If this is supposed to be a reply to anything I said, you need to go back and try again.

And here I am thinking the exact same thing about you, silly me... playing Peace Walker and noticing that it plays a lot like a handheld MGS4 might have something to do with that.

Hope they have an insane load of parts to mess around with. 80% of the fun I have with AC games is refining your mech.

Sure did, did you even play AC1-3, Silent Line, Nexus, LR and AC4?

    Serious question.

Oh, then you must have gotten the special edition of MGS4 where you have to research weapons, manage a group of mercenaries, can collect scrap from bosses to build a giant robot, and can play coop multiplayer.

Yeah. In every single one of them you're a mech pilot in a post-apocalyptic world, the mech customization is very technical, and you go on missions to get more money for better parts to customize your mech. But in the last one, you do it at higher velocities, so it's clearly an entirely different game.

I want that vertical missle launcher from 3 that shot at least 30 fuckers at a time. Shit was hilarious just floating 4,000 feet up and bombarding people.

Yeah, just like in every Metal Gear Solid you're still "Snake" in a futuristic world where you go on a mission to 'save the world' sneaking around bases and using stealth tactics, but in the last one you manage a few guys in a menu between stages and have to go into a menu to 'research' weapons instead of finding them in the stage so it's clearly an entirely different game.

Oh my god wow you're stupid. Do you seriously not understand what a facetious remark is?

I know these games feel similar while playing differently. It's what I've been arguing for a page.
How the hell did AC4 not "feel" like an Armored Core game? Because the ACs weren't chunky and slow?
MGS: Peace Walker felt like a MGS game and played entirely differently.
Why am I wasting my time

But I'm saying... they really don't play differently. You do some menu shit between missions and that's the only difference... that's not even the core gameplay.
How can you not understand that we aren't saying the same thing, even now?

There's a hell of a lot more difference between AC: LR (the last AC game before 4) and AC4 than that.

I already lightly touched on some of the differences other than the speed of your mech and you simply ignored that, but whatever.

I felt like I could evade stuff better in the older games (favored speedy mechs). Newer ones either straight-line projectiles move too fast or the tracking on things is too good. Or subsequent explosions being hueg even if you did dodge the initial strike. Pair that with lighter frames having utterly craptastic armor for balance purposes and yeah... easy to get mowed down by people with certain weapons/builds.

Do you play online at all, Arus? I thought I couldn't dodge very well until I played against the JPs for a few days. Went back and bodied the 5 on 1 end mission easily. The only things that I find truly hard to dodge are rail weapons, due to their amazing speed, but rifles/machineguns/rockets/nades'/ect. are a joke to dodge once you put in the time. It also depends heavily on your setup, but everyone knows that.

Not too often. I think I picked up the game largely after the online rush died down. I don't actually get to play on the PS3 too often since its hooked up in the living room where others might use it for movies/streaming or just general TV watching.

Hmm, I've still got it lying around; I'll give you some of my lightweight specs that basically fly forever and allow you to dodge just about anything. I'll PM you in a bit.

I personally liked the older AC's/silent/nexus etc better than 4. I might pick 5 up, I don't remember 4 having awful controls or anything... but I also don't remember if I returned it or if I still have it cause I only played it for maybe a week.

Team-based AC = win. No matter what.

Can't wait to see actual game-play footage. Between SSF4, MvC3, and this, my life will be non-existant.

Yeah, shit looks epic, and with the social aspect to it, I just can't wait.
