It's not the best story wise, but what they did with the online functionality is pretty killer. If you need a team, feel free to join, I'll approve it as soon as I can regain control of my television.

Is the online co-op based on going against another team or are they missions against AI? ... Is it fun? 60 bucks fun if you have 3-4 people willing to play?

There are missions against AI. All appear to be 2 player co-op.

It is pretty fun if you have 4 or 5 friends who are playing too. We have yet to get a team vs team fight going, though.

The whole game is online, so that's kind of a hard question to answer. Just pick to join up when you grab it, we're usually around and you can do the story mode via co-op hiring mercs or running with teammates.

It took me awhile to get into the game, but I'm enjoying it now. I'm happy that many more weapons are viable this time around because the overall speed has been lowered. You can now use chainguns and missiles/rockets without having to first drain an opponent of all of their energy so they'll stay off of your back shoulder.

I'm sure I'll have a list of flaws by the time I finish the campaign, but for now, its pretty fun. There's no real lag to speak of either, just the understandable drop in framerate by way of running on outdated hardware, but this was a bold move by From Software to make a fully-online-integrated game, and I hope it pays off for them. I respect them for attempting it.

Yeah, this x1000, some of the order missions with ACs have such unimaginably stupid AI that they'll end up dead before they even get near you. I can just scope and drop most of the 300k+ ones in a couple of seconds, before they get anywhere near me.
