I would rather they held off Lizard for the second film just to give them time to really establish the mentorship between Connors and Peter like they were doing in the Raimi films. Only problem is I'm at a loss as to what other villain they could use for the first film without going the Goblin or Doc Ock route again. Granted I wouldn't mind seeing Goblin done again this time without looking like a Power Ranger. Kraven doesn't work this early in the story nor does Mysterio. Maybe go with the Jackal, Gwen Stacy storyline(without the clones!).
