I am surprised this post only occurred in 2010 and not 2003.

I believe this is a partially implemented feature. The luck ratings are there but not being used by the game and the developers forgot all about it or abandoned implementing it.

Why? I have been following the luck table for crafting for 2 years and keeping track of results. Nothing conclusive.

Well for a period of time, we got drops every Bhaflau run when I asked the luckiest person to do the entry, but the streak ended after a dozen runs or so. Probably just a freak coincidence...

How? I have the algorithm of how the fortune teller works. Nothing overly complicated. (Go figure it out yourself if you're interested. Don't feel like saying anything.)

-> I never quite figured out if the extra comments he gives meant anything.
-> I don't have THF leveled to test effect on Treasure Hunter.
    ---
Rune quest: (Nothing to do with Kurou-Morou)
Get HQ food from taru NPC in W. Waters behind tavern.
-> Start by talking to fortune teller in Mhaura.

Well we used it for salvage cause it was relatively painless, but the data I have doesn't show a noticeable difference in drop rate (still under 10%). I really don't think it helps. Still, it was tym's idea so he can decide to share it or not.

I believe this should be self-explanatory. This is my own luck table. Everyone has a set of values, not necessarily unique but most should be different.
If you combine enough people's tables together (i.e they overlap top-down), you can get the luck table of anyone by simply referring to 2 entries.
The day values follow the digit of the in-game calendar. Day 1 = 11 = 21...etc etc. There is a rather obvious diagonal pattern as well.

Luck Values 311 = General, Financial, Love with 1 being lowest and 4 being luckiest.

Now I ask in return some of your values, in particular the (War Day 1 and SCH Day 9, 0) so that I can complete the "universal" luck table to make a utility out of. Fair enough?

    Day 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0

Having TH from the fortune teller is, in fact, the way to weaken AV's bracelets meteor.

Some very common/uncamped NMs do drop predetermined amounts of gil, making it incredibly easy to test any Gilfinder traits or effects.

It's an easy solo for most all 75 jobs.

Hellion is a pretty easy one. I think you could solo with most jobs at 75. Yowie is another option, since you can ask Angel Skin fisher to help you (divide the gil it drops by amount of players in pt). Also, a lot of those NMs are being camped by hunters anyway, so you can probably find someone to let you join in.

Might be worth running such an easy test, as it's definitely easy to do. But per how I'm reading the SE commentary, there's just no system of "luck" in the game. (though I call lies when it comes to phantom roll)

I am almost certain Goblinsavior Heronox drops 6,000 gil as I have killed it a dozen times (as with a plethora of other useless NMs). I think a lot of the NM gil drop variations people record on wikis isn't taking into account their THF main or sub traits and way more NMs drop predetermined amounts than you might think.

Those other NMs listed above are obviously not often solo'd with thf sub so people know those amounts.
